Aesa fallowed his lead though she wasn’t able to claim as silent as escape as himself - thankfully the guards appeared to be out of earshot for none came charging after them. She wondered where Ace was leading them - surely not his home in the woods? Though she dared not ask for fear of alerting their pursuers. Her hood had long since been torn back from her face so she was left unprotected against the unforgiving thorns that snagged at her face, hair and clothes. With her adrenaline running high she hardly felt each furrow however for she was focused solely on their escape and survival.

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace kept moving quickly and quietly knowing he wasn't going to last much longer no mater how much luck she gave him. Nothing could keep the fact that exhaustion was kicking him down as hard as possible and it was a miracle that he was still going. Maybe it was the luck. He stopped though looking around then he listened. The lake. He kept moving again knowing the edge of the cliff was near and that was going to be a big drop with a lot of risk since you had to launch yourself to make sure you had a safe fall surprisingly. He picked his head up just enough to see where everyone was and he growled a little bit stopping only yards from the edge. "Aesa, I know this sounds crazy, but we are going over that cliff, like launching off of it. Its our only escape from here, they've got us cornered. Trust me. Jump, I'll be there short after and use anything that you can to keep yourself from being shocked by the pain of hitting the water or how cold it is. Get to the cliff's edge by the water and wait. I'll be right after," he said in a whisper getting rather close.
When he was done speaking though, he froze hearing someone starting to hack through the thorns. He waited a second to make sure no one else was looking before pulling his blade out and slitting the mans throat pulling him to the ground. Blood pained his face now, but he didn't seem to notice as he kept keeping an eye out urging her to go since he could keep them distracted long enough for her to get the hell out of there. They didn't have long as someone would soon figure out that their comrade was bled out on the floor. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace nodded and swallowed hard as he watched her take off. The same time she became visible, he leapt up at one of the men closest to her and taking aim at her. He tore the man apart counting in his head. He'd jumped off that cliff before and he knew how long it took to hit the water from a dive and how long it would take her to drown. He snarled knowing he had less than a minute to be coming after her. And he used it. Just like she was fearful of, he went after the closest soldiers taking them out in a furry before a little alarm went off in his head. He had to go, now. He started running but choked when he was grabbed by his coat. He snarled and yanked away from the man finding it to be the mage. Yet, he didn't get fearful, just madder then he ever thought possible. When he tried to flee, he was grabbed by his throat and lifted off the ground to have a blade run through him cutting very deep and up towards his more vital organs.
Ace howled in pain and tried to kick him to get to Aesa and save her, but the mage wouldn't let him have his way. "I'm finishing you off, right here," he purred glaring into his eyes before removing the blade that had an odd sheen to it. The man held his hand as if something was contained in it ,and sure enough a angry crackle came from it before small bolts of electricity started ripping to and fro inside his hand. Ace looked at the forming ball nervously before he narrowed his eyes. He started muttering something going back to angry instincts that he thrived on. The man looked at him in shock as a fireball formed in his hands.
Ten seconds over his planed time to get out of there. He didn't have time for this. He roared and just slammed him with the blast not even letting go of it as it hit the man's shield blasting everything down with him. He could feel his coat being burned away and smell his skin being burned along with the mage's. He snarled to try and keep energy flowing into it before the man was dead from his burns becoming so sever. In the adrenaline rush, he didn't even recognize his wounds. Ace's vision started getting splotchy but the urge to keep Aesa alive, gave him strength to keep moving. Before he even registered what he was doing, his black robed form came leaping over the cliff's side into a dive hitting the water hard but the cold temperatures refreshed himself as he looked around for anything that would signal Aesa was there. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє He looked around before seeing her struggling for the surface. He snarled and gulped in air before vanishing beneath the water and coming up below her wrapping his arm around her waist and ribs. Yet, he still easily swam from having his body being worked like this all the time. Taking every ounce of strength he had left, he pulled her and himself to the cliffs edge and looked at it one time before grabbing his hand through the wall. After another instant, he pulled them both up through the mirage ending coughing heavily and breathing deeply and holding her still against his body while he just stayed on the ground. He was shaking badly from both exhaustion, pain, and being so cold.
Fearful, he picked his hand up that held Aesa and saw the glove and skin burned badly with the glove and part of the sleeve almost completely gone. He visibly winced even though he couldn't feel anything really as he laid there and didn't want to move afraid of what other injuries he would find during his senseless attack. "Are you okay?" he asked finally once he got his breathing back to what it should be and could find better control. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє "Its fine though, Aesa, I can't feel it, I can't feel anything right now. Its fine, just get yourself warmed up and no one did this to me. I burned myself on my own attack," he said gently starting to move before he snarled and put his free hand on his lower gut and then picked it up again to find a red tint to his side. "That does though," he said coughing again and just laying still on the ground again. He closed his eyes tightly before forcing them open again so he didn't pass out like he was feeling like he was already going to. He just laid still with his arm still wrapped around her as if he would keep her warm and safe even if he wasn't in that good shape. He was beyond exhausted again and wounded, worse than usual. Honestly, he was a little worried that someone would figure out where they were so he kept his groans quiet and to himself. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace closed his eyes again starting to pass out again before feeling her lips on his. He opened his eyes slightly looking at her making sure he wasn't dead now. Though, her lips tasted perfect to him making him smile slightly. He looked up at her when she broke way to ask where they were. "Places known only to my kin," he said softly. He ignored himself then sitting up wrapping his good arm around her again kissing her himself deeply and passionately. She opened herself up to him and he wasn't going to close her out any longer. When he stopped though, he sunk back against the stone again closing his eyes breathing deeply and slowly as he started falling asleep. He was to tired to keep awake and he felt to exhausted to fight himself any longer honestly. Stopping would be perfect for him. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace didn't move even as he was healed being so tired and worn out. He wasn't worried about being wet at all since he just wanted to sleep some. For how long he slept was unknown to him before he finally opened his eyes again feeling crappy, but able to move finally. He opened his coat and felt the cut on his side that hadn't shown. He closed his coat back up tight and looked at his hand that was badly scared but he would be okay thankfully. He sat up slowly and took his sash off and used it to wrap his cut and then looked over to see Aesa. He smiled a little bit before rubbing his eyes. He knew he had to move and he had lied to her to let her at least stop long enough to relax. She needed to relax and wouldn't had if he had admitted that a lot of people knew of the tunnels but not of just that entrance.
He crouched next to Aesa standing up again with her held against him. Holding her, he started walking caring her in his arms. He made sure that he didn't stumble, he kept walking before he found the exit out into the woods again just short of another town. He looked around the area before laying Aesa down into a bed of plants gently and planning on looking around to see where they were at. He climbed up into a tree and looked around for the soldier wondering where they would be. Probably in the town they were just short of not expecting them to go far at all. He dropped back down and laid down in the grass just short of her again watching her and everything else carefully not wanting to get cornered again. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa shivered while they slept on for while she had removed the excess water from their clothing she had done nothing to warm up their chilled bodies. When she finally awoke her body was cramped and protesting the movement of her sitting up. Looking about at very different surroundings than what she fell asleep to she blinked before quickly shifting to look for Ace. Ah - there he was, laying down though his eyes were not restful at all.
Keeping her voice low for fear of detection she spoke to Ace though she too was now looking about at their location as though trying to spot any hidden enemies. ”Where are we now Ace?” She didn’t question how he managed to move her from one place to the other, without waking her no less. She had been exhausted enough that an earthquake probably wouldn’t have roused her - and hadn’t he already shown he was resilient beyond good sense?

F a t e lies ahead Like the sun will rise The light has been gone far too long From your e y e s Λϲє Ace looked down at her the second he heard her starting to move. "We are just outside the city next over from the one that we were at. I didn't go into it since I figured they would expect us to turn up there. So, I stayed out and just waited," he said quietly before flexing his hand a little bit to keep the numbness out of it enough that he could feel it. He didn't mind the bit of pain or the scaring, he was just glad it wasn't as bad as it was earlier. He didn't sit up like she did though and just kept laying on the ground not wanting to sit up. His side was throbbing worse than before and the fact that it didn't hit anything vital, was the luck still working in his mind. Once again, he was thankful for that.
"How are you feeling?" he asked again hoping she would respond this time and not fret over him. The fact that he'd proved how stuborn he was before would hopefully convince her that he was fine now as he laid on his back in the plants with their backs up against a tree and surounded by thick vegitation protecting them. ::=======>> ⅩⅠⅠⅠ <<=======:: The light in your eyes keeps fading out The night's falling d e e p e r the heart Hiding the truth and crashing down My baby's a dancer in the dark

Aesa nodded her head in agreement as he mentioned that the soldiers were probably even know scouring the city for them. It made perfect sense and is what she herself would have done if she were on the opposite end of this little tracking fiasco. At his inquiry regarding her health she wrinkled her nose and took stock of her person. After some flexing and shifting of her body parts she looked back at him, ”Other than some bruising there’s nothing that a warm bath won’t cure.” She knew she must look a fright right now with her hair unkempt and her clothing in disarray. “And you Ace? Are you doing alright?” She truly was making an effort not to coddle him as she knew he found it stifling - it was just so hard when he constantly put himself in mortal peril.
