Scarlet looked at him. She didn't show that she was affected by his statment but inside it really hurt. She said nothing. She walked up and handed him the bag. "Then feel free to go then." she said.

Scarlet looked at him. This time she more than showed it. His statement struck a nerve. She felt tear well in her eyes. She fell to her knees. She looked down. "Am I really that bad?" she asked softly. Her tears fell on the floor.

Scarlet put her head in her hands and shook slightly as she cried.

Verde rose the knife, ready to stab her in the head. He hesitated, looking at the sobbing figure of Scarlet. Pitiful, crying just before she would die. To be expected of the spoiled rich girl she was. He didn't care, so why was he hesitating so long?

Scarlet stopped crying and looked forward. She wiped her eyes and looked straight forward. "go ahead." she said softly.

He sighed, then threw the knife down. "I think it'd be worse for you just to live because you've got such a miserable life." said Verde bitterly, he punched her in the face, then ran off.

Scarlet winced falling on the floor. She sighed and just laid there. She never realized how horrible she was. She decided she was going to change her life around.

Having run deep into a nearby forest for sanctuary, Verde at last decided to take a break near a river. He drank thirstily from it, then sat down against a tree to rest his sore body for a few moments.

Scarlet just sat their for the rest of the day. She didn't feel good at all. At about 8 she got up and started working on imporving herself.
