"I don't work well with breaks!" Ed looked at her letting out a hopeless sigh he crossed his arms tightly not expecting her forehead against his again and he closed his eyes. He opened his again looking into her heavenly blue eyes not realizing how blue they were till now. He watched her and let her turn his face turning slightly red from not expecting the kiss at all. He was to stuned to realize his wavy, blonde hair falling back down over his neck and face covering some of it. "I'm not sleeping in your bed. You are in worse shape then me, I haven't done anything, you could have been taken apart," he said sternly getting wobblier on his feet by the second.  → Kari G r a c e Healios ♥  ✿ Kari stared at him, blinking as it all came to her for a bit. "Ed...you saved me." She sighed, scratching the side of her head and making her bangs up lift.  ✿ She glanced around the room, no other bed in sight. "Alright, then we'll share." Kari placed her hands on her hips, stating it like a fact.  ✿ She clapped her hands together and squinted her eyes tightly together, "Please Ed, please? Here," Not taking no for an answer she grabbed his wrist, giving him a tug that she didn't know was hard at all. But Ed was weaker than she had realized and they fell over, Ed falling onto the bed along with her while she went on a bit more crookidly, her head hitting the wall in an awkward angle. "Ow."

"I don't work well with breaks!" Ed stumbled a few feet forward and fell onto his back stunned. He closed his eyes tightly feeling her land on his flesh arm and pulled something in his shoulder. He winced at that before he looked up at Kari with one eye feeling worse now. He was even more tired from being stunned and he was having a hard time keeping awake. "I told you, I'm not in as bad as shape as you think," he said quietly sounding even more tired then before. His eyes flickered as he tried to stay awake and he was convinced that he would until he wanted to sleep even though his fever kept getting worse and worse the more he pushed himself. His chest heaved heavily up and down almost panting with his body trying to cool himself back down. → Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ Kari sat up quickly, the quickness making her head spin but she held on. Grabbing his hand she lifted it up, wincing as she moved it. "S-Sorry. Just go to sleep," with her free hand she put it on his forehead, taking it off after a moment and feeling her own. ✿ "Your fever is higher than mine, Ed." She laid down on her side, facing him while keeping her hold on his hand to make sure he stayed there. ✿ "Just take a small nap. Please Ed." She felt a bit bad, the words he had said expressed some sort of guilt to her.

"I don't work well with breaks!" Ed continued to just lay on his back trying not to fall asleep. He closed his eyes when her hand went onto his burning up forhead and he started drifting asleep. His eyes tried to open again but he fell soundly asleep still panting heavily, but at least he was asleep. Al walked over to the bed looking relieved with his shoulders sagged downward. → Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ Kari nodded and turned onto her back, closing her eyes and thinking about how hectic the day had been. So much had happened in so little time, was this how it always was for them? Endless adventures? The thought did sound glamourous but the reality wasn't, obviously it put a strain on Ed and he was lucky it didn't do the same to Al. ✿ She rubbed her eyes, opening them and then looking at the ceiling thinking that an hour or so before Mustang had interrogated her and Ed had picked her up as if nothing happened. This is when she wondered if Mustang told them anything about herself, all the questions he had asked her. ✿ All of a sudden she sat up, thinking of something that she hadn't thought in an hour or so. "Alphonse, where's Alyss?"

"I don't work well with breaks!" Al rubbed the back of his cold hard head and sighed. "She's back at Falman's. I can get her if you want, but I didn't have time to get her before I had to run after Ed to keep up with him as he tore down to the train station," he said sighing a little bit before he walked over to the bed. He gently picked his brother up and laid him back down where he was all the way on the bed and he didn't even move in his sleep trying to replenish his exhausted mind and body. He walked over to the basin and drew a circle on the side with a pen and clapped his hands before he touched it cooling the water down. He dipped the washcloth into it and wrung it out before he put it on his brother's fevorish forhead. "How bad is he really? → Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ She looked down at Ed, snoring lightly with his mouth open. Kari ran her fingers through his bangs, watching as they fell back into the same spot. "Oh, it's fine. I just didn't want her to get lost."✿ Kari moved her hand away from Ed as he was repositioned, watching as Al had moved around and gotten him some water. Before comming back over. Even when they first met she knew they were close but she didn't think they were best friends. She wondered about their family and where their hometown was, they were young. From Edwards age and the tip that Al had said he was the big brother, she knew that they were practically kids. ✿ Kari blinked and looked up at him, watching as he took care of his brother before looking back down. She licked her lips, "He's pretty sick but...but I think he just needs some sleep." She looked up at him once again before looking back down at Edward, who had already fallen into his deep sleep before their talk. "You know, I can get you your body back." She licked her lips and swallowed, continuing to look at Ed. Already they had been through so much, they needed something back.

→ Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ Kari sat next to Ed, every so often pressing her hand against his snoring cheek to see if he was cooler. She listened to Al's words, surgery for what? ✿ Even though it seemed nosey she wanted to ask, thinking of doing so before he had inquired more about his body. Kari licked her lips again, looking at him before looking back down at Ed and removing her hand form his cheek. "I have a philosophers stone." ✿ Her stomach sea-salted with the truth, not wanting to say too much but knowing that she might have to tell them everything; something she didn't want to do. "But we could only get your body back, not Ed's."

"I don't work well with breaks!" Al looked shocked at her, but before he said anything again he stopped realizing she wanted to ask a quesiton. → Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ She looked up at Al, surprsied that he read her mind so easily before she said anything she rubbed her head, angling it so that she could easily see both of the brothers. "Alright, we can play that game."✿ Kari wasn't sure she wanted to play it though, her stomach became uneasy with what he would ask but right now while Ed couldn't hear it would be alright. ✿ "What happened. I mean, how did you guys...get like this." In reality she didn't know how to word the question, it was awkward all on its own but she wanted to ask ever since she had kicked off Al's head, seeing the symbol that was on the height of his back.

"I don't work well with breaks!" Al's fist clenched at his side and he looked away for a second before he let out a long sigh. He felt his imaginary heart sink and start hurting before he looked back up at her. He let out a long sigh before he got ready to start retreiving his painful fragmented memories. "I don't rember it all. Most of the actual process, is just fragmented memory from what Ed doesn't refuse to tell me and just me blanking," he said calmly before he stood up and looked at the washcloth on his brother's head and saw it was already dry. He resoaked it and rinsed it out before he put it onto his head again. Ed let out a sigh of reliefe in his sleep before he relaxed again sleeping peacfully.
He walked back to his spot and sat down calmly before he continued. "It was a good few years since we were living happily playing with alchemy entertaining our friends and helping people out with our mother watching fondly on us. She loved the fact that we did alchemy and prasied us for it and fallowing in otu father's footsteps. After a while though, our mother fell deathly ill for a week before she died. When she did, Ed and I were left alone in this world on our own. We wanted her back so bad, we would give anything," he stopped again relaxing himself again before he continued, "We read about Human Transmutation, a forbiden art that my brother convinced me that we could pull off. It was just forbiden because no one else ever succeded pulling it off before. We left for training for a year with Teacher, and when we got back, we didn't waste any time to try and preform it."
He stopped looking at his brother who narrowed his eyes and his lip curled up slightly in a snarl before it relaxed. He kept his eyes narrowed as he sleeped and he clenched down on the bed sheets subconsiously remembering everything every horifying detail, the surgery, the blood... He growled a little in his sleep and rolled over onto his side curling up slightly with the washcloth threatening to come off his burning up forehead. Al closed his eyes again before he looked up at his brother and continued realizing that he was dreaming and remembering this all subconcoiusly. "When we tried it, I was so sure Edward was right. Everything seemed right, but then I remember pain filling my body as my brother reached out to me in atempts to pull me back before I saw a white flash and felt myself pass out.
"When I woke up, I was cold all over and my body felt so heavy compared to my smaller body. I looked around and I found him bleeding to death on the floor missing one arm and a leg. I grabbed him and bandaged him the best I could before I ran to the Rockbell's house where Winrey--our childhood friend--and Grany--her grandmother--took us in," he stopped there unsure if she wanted more detail or not, he didn't know what happened after that really. He was forbiden to go into the rooms with Ed durring the surgeries so he didn't know what they did to him. Last time he saw him durring the surgeries he had a metal socket attached to his shoulder and a metal peice to his leg.

→ Kari G r a c e Healios ♥ ✿ Kari listened, feeling her stomach grow sick as she listened to their story. They had been through so much and they spent all day saving her from trouble, being useless. ✿ Kari had bent down near Ed again, moving his bangs out of the way as they got wet from the cloth. She looked at him and rubbed his cheek as Alphonse finished the end of his story. ✿ When he talked to her, her eyes widened and then she looked at him. Her heart pumping as her face grew hot, but it wasn't with embarrassement. Her feelings swam with anger and sadness before she looked back down at the bed, putting her own hands into her pocket. "No...I-I don't think so." Kari looked back at Al, her hands still open in her lap. "What did Mustang tell you?"

"I don't work well with breaks!" "Nothing that Ed didn't already know," he said calmly waiting for her actual question unless that was. He closed his eyes again sinking back keeping quiet. He looked at Ed sadly again before he sunk down agianst the wall.
