FrostFlower of ShadowClan I really would just like to thank Panda and ES for the amazing opportunity they presented when they created DolphinMania. As sad as I am to see it go, to be honest, I've been waiting to see an announcement such as the one we received yesterday stating that DM would be closing. It just seems like there has been something brewing for a while now ever since the first rumors of Lanzer shutting down DM began. I figured there had to be some sort of truth behind such rumors. Anyway, Thank you Panda and Es and to everyone else who helped to make DolphinMania as epic as it is/was. I fully intend to make the most of my remaining time with the site by grabbing as much as I can between now and Friday. I hope that someday we can have an explanation as to why this had to happen, but for now, I'm content to just accept that ES can't explain due to the agreement. How rude of me not to thank them as well for their hard work. Thank you for reminding me. I really do appreciate all that you folks have done, thank you DMv2 creators and crew. I really have enjoyed your work.

Jeez, people. Some of you need to calm down. D: And stop trying to harass poor Es about his reasons for shutting it down. All will be well. Until whatever plans are being worked out for the guild come into being, I've started grabbing here. Dolphinmania seems to be filling up like crazy because it's about to come to an end, but I think this guild's got a pretty good, pretty low-lag thing going.
So fear not, there are still good ways to Booty Grab. And I'm sure all will be revealed in time. I'm just glad I discovered Dolphinmania before it came to an end.

Awaken13 I have some thoughts as to what MAY happen but like a few others, I'd rather not voice them in case I am right. xP On another note, this sucks... I was just about to make some money to go buy a tank too. T.T And a question to go along with all this ranting: Is there a possibility of DM or something of the sort opening back up in the far future? ..I hate your signature.*lost*

KittenPieChan I'm sorry that such a brilliant idea has come under such fire from the site. I understand they have your reason, and I'm honestly not out for answers. I know you all are doing any and everything you can think of to try and make this work out for Gaia, and the devoted members of the Booty Grab site aka Dolphin Mania. I -will- be taking this time to thank anyone and everyone in the guild for being supportive of the decisions that have been made, and the commitment to keep a happy, healthy community alive. I know DolphinMania did not solely exist because of gold, but as a way to help Gaian's achieve their dreams and make new friends. smile My full and complete support will be offered and given for the new projects the guild will begin to undertake in times to come. In short, I sure as heck ain't going anywhere. I love you guys too darn much. heart This! 3nodding

I am not at liberty to explain more than that at this time. you just gave everything away in that brief explanation es xd so when will gaia's dm clone be up and running? wink That was my thoughts! xD

Well on the plus side maybe since it will be all guild based maybe tanks will actually get bumped now. Other than people in my other guild I don't think my tanks has been actually BUMPed by more than a handful of people on the site even though I always get just about a full game. *Shrugs* Either way it's sad to see the site go since it was one of the only ways I could BG from my laptop. Anyways thanks guys for all the hard work you've put in for us I've always appreciated it! Hell if it wasn't for this guild I wouldn't have all my tanks now! heart
Also what we do for lag free play in my guild is remove sigs from all posts and have people post twice with NO thread layouts then they have to add a link to Direct Tank, Bump Thread, and then the Analyzer. It makes the pages short and easy to load even on dial up (compared to trying to play from the aquarium forum) maybe we could see something like this for the new BG threads?
Oh and this is not me asking why it's done but just a LITTLE b***h about this. I just can't believe that you guys have been pretty much forced to keep "gaia secrets" and then they wonder why we are so hell bent about needing better communication! FFS they nerf the hell out of us already is that not enough?!? Sure I never got a bunch of bumps from the site but my tanks still got played and now my fish that USED to glow in a full 17 don't, the aquarium market place is only rising, and gaia flings shitty new fish at us, and now one of the few places that helped the underdog be able to become an equal HAS to be shut down *shakes head* It makes me worry for my little fishies. . .

Maybe people are making money too fast. The prices of objects in the gaia economy cant keep up. Maybe getting rid of dolphinmania will help the prices catch up and not be so easy to buy.
This is all a guess, im more then likely wrong, but i dont care.
Getting rid of this game will make it more of a challenge for people to make their dream avi's and getting objects. So people wont think its so easy and quit because it got boring.
Once again, im probably wrong.

Um. Um. Um... Well my Grandma (Greg/Es) told me that DMv2 is shutting down cuz the entire Gaia site is shutting down.
(He told me to say this as a joke, if you couldnt tell... xd )

I was unaware of your request until way after I posted in a public forum. A fellow guild member made me aware of your note. There was nothing in the announcement I received that suggested secrecy was preferred by anyone in the guild. To the extent that I have inadvertently done something you'd rather I had not, I offer you my sincere regrets. To the extent that intelligent and thoughtful discussion is taking place in "my" public thread, and not bitching, I think we can be proud of gaia members, that they have not lived down to your concerns.

I know I have not been very active in the guild. I tend to forget to visit guilds. However, I am grateful that I had a chance to use the website as it helped me discover which type tanks I actaully enjoy playing. I appreciate all the hardwork that was put into the site and keeping it updated. I will miss it greatly when it is gone as I loved logging in and grabbing for 5 minutes here and there throughout the day. Times like those I most likely won't log into Gaia now just because of other distractions that would keep me logged in longer than I had time for.
I must say, of all the guilds I have joined in my short time on Gaia, I must say this is the best one! While the website may be gone, I am very happy to hear that the guild will stay!
