There are no great shows right now other than the newest Pirate.
But who is your hero out of history?
I like John Paul Jones. "I have not yet begun to fight"

Don't really have a historical hero. Though I am very very fond of Genghis Khan.
Also fairly fond of Roland. Charlemagne's knight. I absolutely love the song written about him. Most bards know it. At least around here.

Ohhhhh.... For now I would have to say Lady Godiva, Queen Elizabeth I, Voltaire, and Chaucer. For now. I'm sure I'll add more when I wake up enough to think.

Richard the Lion Hearted.
He had honor, and was able to cut down scores of Saladin's warriors in the blistering hot wearing mail ( If any of you have ever put on a hauberk, it's tough to fight in even in the cool, its like, 60 lbs )
Now that's a King.

Mine has got to be Eleanor of Aquitaine.
Wife of two kings and mother of three kings. She was a lady with a mind and a will of her own.

Heroes, eh? Hmm...
William Wallace Robert the Bruce (Not to be confused with his distant cousin, Lenny the Bruce) Musashi Miyamoto King Richard the Lionheart Alexander the Great
And to borrow one from Japanese mythology, Ojin, son of Empress Jingo. He was such a fine warrior and such a cunning strategist that the Gods made him Hachiman, the god of war.
