It's Gwen Stefani. neutral It's not particularly interesting, or original, and it's all incredibly overpriced. She took a few t-shirts and tank tops, threw on prints that looks like 90% of what you find at the mall, and decided to charge around ~$40 for them solely on the basis that she's a popular media icon.

She annoies me and her label annoies me. She misrepresents Harajuku, is expensive, and makes everyone think differently about Harajuku than they should. Honestly, though it's quite rude of me, I do wish she would fall off the face of the earth...

Haha actually I like her LAMB label but harajuku lovers? Not so much. I guess it's cute if you get it on a steep discount though.

Nanie-chan Honestly, though it's quite rude of me, I do wish she would fall off the face of the earth... seconded, it annoys me how all of her fans think harajuku is a fashion. i keep on telling my friend that its a place that kinda gave birth to alot of fashions and she just says 'im not taking fashion advice from a girl thats living 100 and something years behind everyone else' (she's talkimg about lolita). at that point im just like head -> table

I loved when I was more decora, girls in my school would come up to me and say: OMG [seriously...not Oh My God...but the cyber-speak], Are you Harajuku?
I thought it was an insult...i know i am big...but not as big as Harajuku. emo
Oh people in my school--they are all slightly idiots. Everyone has a real thing or knock off bag of Gwen's Harajuku Lovers.

Aw, I thought this was going to be a topic on people who love Harajuku. sad
I've never seen any of Gwen Stefani's stuff, so I don't know... but from what everyone else says, it's dumb... and I believe them, 'cause I just don't trust that woman. lol

The Sanrio store in the town like 2 hrs south of me sells harajuku lovers stuff. first of all it makes me sad how could hello kitty betray me like that. but second of all all the harajuku lovers crap in the store has oranges on it. what the heck kind of randon fruit is an orange?

I driven away from the brand simply because of Gwen's HORRIBLE representation of Harajuku fashion. Though I saw ONE pencil I liked in the Sanrio store. ONE. It had cupcakes on it.

Personaly, I love Gwen Stephani. I just think she sort off americanised the "Harajuku fashion" (let's just call it like that) and it gave a bad result. It is not her fault, she is american and a pop star, she CAN'T come out with something really different. By the way, I think you can't really give people a misconception of something which does not really officialy exist, but it is only my opinion. If someone has a link where I can see the collection, can you give it to me, pleeeease whee ?

I didn't know what it was called till I read this thread yesterday so I had a look at the site and to me it seems that as well as "Americanising" it shes also trying to make it appeal to the american people that would be buying it by making it the was it is.
wow that sounds like a load of s**t. (Excuse the language. Trying to get rid of the habit. Not so easy).

I liked Gwen Stefani when she was in No Doubt.
But taking the Harajuku style and turning them to look like cheap hookers...Just...It makes me so damn angry. She saw one style and said "OMG that kewl" and turned her dancers into it, and made a fashion line. The clothes arent all that bad, well, they're pretty bad, but the makeup is just TOO much.
Sorry for my ran again ^^;;;
