ALTERING/CHANGING A PICTURE:
For something like this, i tend to use photoshop, or even paint. If you dont have these programs, there is a similar downloadable program called gimp. you can download it at this webpage
Photoshop can do many things, but i shouldnt write all about it in here, thats why they have a help page wink

HOSTING A PICTURE:
You need to get your picture onto the internet before you can post it in the forums, to do this you need a web host. For this i use photobucket. You create an account and browse for your picture, it then creates a web link for your picture! It will split this link into three forms, which can be used for different purposes.
POSTING PICTURE ON GAIA:
Look for the link that looks like this:
[IMG]http://yourlinktoyourpicture.com[/IMG]
this is the code that you can use to post here. just copy and paste it!
If you want to add a link, this is the code you use:
[URL]http://siteyouwanttolinkto.com[IMG]http://yourlinktoyourpicture.com[/IMG][/URL]
