Is it real? is it really desirable? After all happiness is the precursor to sorrow without them we can have peace. I want your opinion on the subject, I personally don't think it truly exists outside of stories

but what is love to you thats the big question to me love is a selfless emotion but selflessness is a falsehood would you truly love someone if you got nothing out of it and so it is lust (not nessicerly the sexual kind) but lust for acceptance, for acknowledgment for the reciprocation of your feelings that is not love

What about when you would want them to live, prosper, and above all else, be happy? Do anything for them to be that way, no matter how much you have to go through. The selflessness of wanting someone else to excel in all that they do.

I Is it real? After all happiness is the precursor to sorrow without them we can have peace. emotions befoul your mind and give no end to agony there is the root of the problems of the human condition. people tell me all the time that without the bad there can be no good but fail to recognize that without the good there could be no bad

That is... when you are with someone you love. I find that with the advent of nigh-instant communication it is easy to find people to love. Perhaps not love in a romantic sense, but some form of love should be easy to achieve. Really, if you cannot find someone to love on the internet, who else is left?

Scott Ritter I Is it real? After all happiness is the precursor to sorrow without them we can have peace. emotions befoul your mind and give no end to agony there is the root of the problems of the human condition. Emotions do nothing special to humans. Animals feel emotions and it does nothing to them. Emotions are just a channel for the problems of humans, not the source.

Love is not an emotion.
There are emotions involved with love.
But love is a verb. Not only in the grammatical sense, but in the sense that you choose who you love.

Love is just a chemical in you. When you "love someone" it's just the chemical acting up. it's basically, your happy with that someone.
