November Writing Contest
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE POSTING A REPLY!!!
Second Competition & Rules:
From tomorrow, November 7th - November 21st, we are going to have a writing competition. This can be done with stories, poems, or any form of writing, as long as it is original and done by you, and that it is somehow related to Anita Blake or a character in the Anita Blake series. Also remeber this has to be PG 13 and has to adhere to the TOS. Only writing posted between November 7th - November 21st will be part of the competition.
Please post the writing directly in this topic. People can enter as many different writing pieces as they want, as long as it is during the entry time period and that each piece follows the necessary rule requirements. Be sure to title each piece you enter so people can differentiate between your entries if you enter more than one.
The winner will be whoever has the most votes between November 22-November 30th, 2004.
You may post replies or comments regarding any of the writing at any time. People who want to vote, please do not vote until November 22. No votes posted prior to November 22 will be counted towards the official vote. Don't even think about doing it, because those posts will be deleted. This is to ensure that all of the writings to be entered in the competition are posted before people begin voting.
Beginning November 22, anyone wanting to vote, post one reply that says I vote for: then list the name of the person who did the writing piece you want to vote for and list the title too. Only one vote per person will be counted, so do not try to stack the vote by cheating and voting twice.
So an example would be: I vote for Samantha's "Anita's Night Out."
Please post any questions regarding this competition to this topic too.
Oh by the way, two November surprise letters will be the grand prize.
Remember, we will try to have variety in the competitions so hopefully everyone will eventually find one of the competititions to enter.

Interesting... I've always wanted to write a spin-off piece in the Anitaverse. Define PG13-- these days the line between R and PG13 is quite fine. Can the host of this competition give a definition to what she thinks PG13 is so that I and everyone else who wishes to enter may better understand the guidelines. That would be most helpful thank you biggrin .

While I don't want to hinder anyone's creativity in any way, my opinion of PG-13 would be no graphic sex or violence. I don't want you to not include sex or violence in your writing, but just watch yourself. It is no different than the rules for Gaia in general. You can include sex and violence, because both are very important in the Anitaverse, just remember, this is Gaia, so there are very young people here too.
If you are unsure and would like to run your stuff by me first, feel free to PM me with any questionable material. But I trust you guys. If I do read anything posted on here that is more porno than literature, then I might have to contact you about it, just because of Gaia's rules, but I doubt that will be the case.
