Haiku is a short form of Japanese poems (shorter than *tanka). Haiku are three lines long. The first line has five syllables, the 2nd seven, and the 3rd line five syllables again.
A haiku has to contain kigo, a word that expresses a season. Each kigo represents specific season, for example, a bush warbler represents spring and a gold fish represents summer. ~ JTB Illustrated Guide to Japan: Culture and Tradition.
Okay. Dont ask me what a bush warbler is. lol.
Anyway, to liven up the forum how about we create our own haiku for everyone to read. Put what you want in it. You dont necessarily have to put a season term in it but do make it funny or emotional!
Haiku are fun, yes.

Though my birdies havent exhibited any intelligence I do have to say that my Budgie "Blue" is loud. ALL DAY LONG! I wish there were birdie muzzles sometimes. Blue, I adore you.
