Would anyone care to list which animals each Deity is related to?
Ra - Falcon Bast - Domesticated Cat Horus - Eagle(?) Anubis - Jackel Wadjet - Cobra Nekhbet - Vulture
There are several others that I'm aware of that I just do not wish to look up, however I was wondering if these deities even though represented with an animal head actually 'protect' so to speak these specific animals or what not?

Horus - Falcon Hathor - Lion, human and there is something else too which I can't remember Thoth - He is some sort of bird, the one with the long beak Seth - A monster Bastet - Cat
I don't think they protected the animals, I think it was what They were represented and recognised as.

Yeah, i thought so too. I dont think they are some kind of protectors of the specific animal. But... The animal who represent the God has usually something to do with it.
Jackal= you can find them at graveyards Falcons= flying, therefor related to the air and the sun
By the way, is'nt Hathor sometimes represented by a cow? Or a women with horns of a cow?
I think the bird is called "ibis".

That's a great list you've already got going, but I thought I'd mention that in Her earliest forms, Bast was depicted as a lioness, and then later as a desert cat, and then just after that was She depicted as a domesticated cat. Even then She could also be depicted as one of the others, depending on the heka(magic) and preferences involved. Here are some more for the list: Aset(Isis): Kite(the bird) Nebthet(Nephthys): Kite, vulture Amun and Amun-Ra: Ram, goose, bull Serqet(Selket): Scorpion, spiders Geb: Goose Khnum: Ram Mut: Vulture, cobra, lioness Sobek: Crocodile Wepwawet(Upuat): Jackel, wolf

Also, did you guys know that Bastet/Bast and Sekhmet were actually thought to sometimes be the same goddess? Bastet was the more subdued, daily life aspect and Sekhmet was the passionate side who sought vengeance.

Not so much a war goddess, but one Who stood agianst the rebellion that rose agianst Ra. More accurately, She is a protectress, just like Bast, and She is the enforcer of Ma'at (punishing the wicked and protecting the just)., as well as a Goddess of Healing and Lady of Plague, in both turning away and inflicting. Although She was involved in some wars as the protector of Her people, She never started or caused wars, which is what a war-based deity is usually defined as.

Thank the Gods I'm in a guild like this, or else I'd have all my information wrong. Stupid incorrect website sources... Who's the god of the internet, I need to complain! D:< (lol, kidding)

This breed is still around and is fairly rare. The breed is the Egyptian-go figure-Mau. Isis/Aset was also known for her preference of the hawk shape.
