We're only doing two this year. crying Probably 'cause they're both pretty long. The first one, the 'Army of the Nile' of concert pieces, as my director put it, is Folk Song Suite. But I don't care if everyone and their mother has played it, it's a cool song. 3nodding The other one is Fantasy on a Theme by Sousa. It sounds lame and at first I thought it was, but it's beginning to grow on me (I hate that saying sweatdrop ).

March: Genius March (Which our director was quick to point out was NOT meant to be a reflection on our band's intelligence)
Piece 1: Chorale and Shaker Dance II
Piece 2: River East Overture

Update: We got all Is. So did our Symphonic Band, so we were named a "Virginia Honor Band." =D

Testament, by someone whose name i can't recall right now
Convergence, by Roland Barrett

we got straight IIs from the judges, but a I in sight reading.
everyone thought we did really well, but when we got back and listened to the recording, it was like it was a totally different day, it was terrible. o_o
