While going through countless forums dealing with Anita Blake, I have come across a lot of people who like Micah, and a lot of people who don't.
I'd just like to know what everyone thinks of him, and WHY. Most people don't give an actual reason, so it's not quite clear why the masses hate his character. I mean, other than those who are rooting for Richard and, therefore, think they need to hate Micah. Why do you really hate Micah?

Personally, I like Micah because he's everything Anita needs. He's one of the good things in her life that is going right, and she definitely needs that. Micah loves and supports her, and the pard, so I think he's a great character to have around. I really like how he's become a more "in-depth" character in the last few books.

In the last few books I do not think he was more 'in-depth'. Of course I have not read Incubus Dreams so... Don't give anything away about that book!
I'm a Micah hater. Why? Because he shows up, she sleeps with him, and they're in love. That is when I think the series began to go downhill. When there was to much sex in the series. I didn't like how Anita gave into Micah and now he's just mister perfect. He doesn't seem to add anything to the books except more sex.
Well he does support the pard which is good. But other then that.. I wish he died in NiC. He's just... too perfect. And the fact they hint at he might sleep with Jean-Claude kinda scares me.

Micah's pretty cool so far. I like him, I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Richard. I love most all of the kitties.

I like Micah just because of the love at first site thing XD There really wasn't a lot of that until he showed up. I mean, Richard...yea. But Richard has major issues ><; He was awesome at first but I don't like him as much now. If he could ever get his act together, he'd be great for Anita. But I think right now...ah...to put it bluntly XD;; ... A nice, uncomplicated f*ck is what Anita needs. As Edward's said several times LOL. And that's pretty much what Micah is. He loves and accepts her just like she is and doesn't expect or demand anything else from her than she's willing to give.

LOL, I read a fanfic done by someone where they had JC drink blood from Micah b/c Anita had lost too much and JC was on the brink of death and at the time JC hadn't fed his own aduer (spelling?) and so Micah and JC got it on and then JC was Vamp. Almighty then he fed some of his energy/stamina to Anita b/c she had Richard need of blood and flesh in her. (night of full moon and Richard let his walls down). It was a good story actually, but what you said made me laugh. I'm indifferent about Micah doing JC, I don't care if ppl are bi or gay and I was actually hoping that Asher and JC would do it just to make Asher and him fine btw. each other b/c you know how Asher is! (you must think I'm messed up) I kinda liked Micah b/c he makes Anita happy, but I do have to say that he's too perfect for her and I just want him to make her mad or something. And I'm actually pissed that she did just give into Micah but she wouldn't do Richard or Jean-Claude in the beginning. Grrrr...

I admit it, I am an avid Micah hater. I hate Richard more, but Micah gets on my last nerve. Now that I'm reading the books again, I see how much JC really does like her and I see how she hurts him where as before, I was like "Yay, go Anita." and I saw how JC really wanted to help Anita and make her happy where as Richard was dragging her life down. Oh and Anita has 3-4 guys she has sex with. JC, Micah, Nat. (no intercourse yet. meh)(and I haven't read ID, so don't say anything if she has done it fully with Nat.), and then she also has Asher (no intercourse yet either), then ya got Jason and Damien (these guys don't fully count b/c she had Jason once, not constantly and from what I read in Cravings, Damien has his possibilities with her). lol, jeez...Anita doesn't have to worry about ever being lonely.

I like Micah... I'm not sure why. It's just that, well, I like his character design... and he's the only guy thats not pissing her off constantly. lol. I'm not sure why i like him, but I know that i do like him. lol

I hate Micah, truly wish a painful death on him (But Richard first. Unlike everybody else, I've ALWAYS hated Richard with a passion. Effing boy scout, pansy, just die >_o; Oh no he can't, because of Anita and Jean-Claude. Damn you Anita!). He seems too close to perfect, in which perfect people are annoying themselves, and Anita is fun without a calming person (;-; Damn you too Damien! *damns them all but Edward, Jason, Gabriel, and Jean-Claude* crying ; ).
There's many reasons why....I dislike him (And am truly insulted when people say they picture him as Orlando Bloom *twitch* Orlando Bloom's got a straight nose, thankyouverymuch).....but I've got a time limit (<3 sick), so I can't spend it all here XD I'll edit this tomorrow with my rantage

Everyone has to have someone that doesn't piss them off totally. Even Nathaniel annoys Anita sometimes.
I guess Micah is filling that spot for Anita... well, for a little while anyway. I can imagine him dying a death soon 'cause those kindsa characters are just not fun to write.

Hmmm I was indifferent when it came to Micah. But, I must shamefully admit that I liked getting to know him a little bit more in ID. I agree that the fact he just showed up and Anita was like "Oh my God, I'm going to sleep with you and pretend I'm in love with you so I don't have to give myself to Jean Claude completely" THAT I did not like stare *Growls*
I don't like the fact that Anita is practically sleeping with everyone. I'm just waiting for the day she sleeps with Cherry xd That would be true entertainment wink
