When I was reading the books, the sex picked up in them. I haven't read Incubus Dreams yet b/c their all checked out in the library and I don't want to buy the book (I haven't found it in the stores yet anyway, but its out here in America, I know it is) but from what I hear, there isn't much of a plot, but a lot of sex. But I wish that Laurell would drop at least the sex back down to a minimum (like in the first four books). Sex wasn't as big as a problem until we reached Blue Moon. (there was some sex in The Killing Dance), but it didn't bug me. I just think there's too much sex more than there is a story and if Laurell continues, then her sales may go down. (sells will probably go down if Asher or Jean-Claude is killed!!!)

I agree. And it's all the aruder's fault (I wish I could damn Jean-Claude......but it's not possible to do that XD)! I personally enjoy the books where there's none to little sex, or small amounts. Not when Anita is shagging everybody. It bothers me. She was so against it and everything, and that was one reson that made her cool. Now that it's like, 96 percent sex and 4 percent plot.......the series isn't as fun anymore. I read Bloody Bones in two days (Silly school) and now, on Inubus Dreams.....I'm only on like, page 250 something.....and I've had it for more then a week. The sex is just a turn off.

I think the sex in all the books before Narcissus in Chains was acceptable. It happened at appropriate times and didn't take anything away from the books. I think the sex in Blue Moon & Killing Dance actually added to the stories. But it just got kind of out of control in Narcissus in Chains and has multiplied exponentially since then.

Good news: it should be cutting back.
Otherwise, there won't be any time for plot. Ms. Hamilton said that the next book would probably have more vampire politics in it... so hopefully Anita will be too busy dealing with Belle and Mommy Dearest to have sex every other page! sweatdrop

Definetly Narcissus In Chains... Not necessarily in the beginning where they seal those marks, but more when she wakes up later and ******** Micah... Cerulean Sins was kinda over the top but I think she rounded it out nicely at the end when she (the author) finally realises that she has a murder to round up and oh, didn't she start in the beginning with an offer to raise a zombie?
Incubus Dreams still isn't out here so I've avoided the spoiler threads as soon as you all said that it had been released over there.

I think everything up until Cerulean Sins added to the plot. I was frustrated with that one, mostly because you completely forget that there was a murder investigation going on until the very end.
Incubus Dreams was um...just a little much. ^_^;; It's definately not a book you want to be caught reading at school! Though there were some super funny parts in there.

I was a little disappointed in Cer. SIns. I really wanted more Vamp politics.

Narcissus In Chains was where it got really bad. I'm almost scared to pick up Incubus Dream... I mean its turning into a bad prono. Almost borders on erotica in some cases and it is not always tastefully done. Sometimes its chapter after chapter of sex.. And it gets old. I know Cerulian Sins was almost nothing but. Then randomly there is a killing. It's like the Arduer rules everything.
WHY DID SHE HAVE SEX WITH JASON? That ruined it for me. She was NEVER supposed to do that and went and did it. That made me hate her... I mean I love Jason.. I loved him teasing her about sex not doing it. That just made me so mad.
But yeah.. The sex is bad. Laurell K. Hamilton is turning into a major pervert. It is getting old.

i'm not complaining about the sex in the books.. jea-claude .. is just to damn hot stare ..heh.. but yeah without the aruder i doubt there would be this much sex maybe none in these books.. but i like them.. sex usually follows in books with vampires in them anyway.. kinda like you knew this was gonna happen

NiC was definately when I noticed all the sex. Before it was like little easter eggs. I wonder if that's why NiC seems so unpopular. It's always the only Laurell K Hamilton title I see still laying on the shelves in stores.
After reading half of Incubus Dreams I wonder when they'll get down to business. It seems more devoted to the arduer than anything else. I can't see how the rest of the story will fit with so little pages left. Not that I'm complaining much. They're pretty steamy scenes xp

Yes..I do agree that there is alot of sex...then again, about the sale...Laurell said that alot of guys wait in line for hours, not to get a book sign, but to thank her. Their wives/girlfriends have gotten a wild sexdrive because of those books...so I'm not sure... sweatdrop
