You only have to expend ten gold (per ticket) paid to MrJimmy through a trade and you will be added to the list of contestants in this thread. Eventually we'll use the number generator to pick us some winners. If you don't win anything you're name will be left on the list for the next day's raffle.

You can sign up up to five times (number might change), but to make it fare you can only win twice. We'll be raffling off one, or more, items a day starting today or tomorrow (depending on the the amount of sign-ups we get).

First order of business: We need halloween graphics to decorate this thread! I've been so busy organizing this thing that I forgot that until we have some ghosts and witches up in here it's just another thread... if anyone would be willing to submit some original halloween artwork I might be persuaded to let you have a free raffle ticket... rolleyes maybe two if it's ATG related...

Second order of business: We're accepting donations! I know, I know... EVERYONE is accepting donations, and we've prepared enough for this that we have enough to fund it ourselves; but anything (items, gold, really, anything) that you're willing to give will be graciously accepted and put to use as part of this event. :p Please send all donations to MrJimmy in a trade.

Third order of business: Have fun! This thread is a place for you to hang out, discuss our event, Halloween, and anything else you want! So get to it!

ATG Costume Party:

Setup:
Members - Send all donations to Jimmy as he is the 'bank' for this event. Then send a PM with your avatar costume entry to the judge for the appropriate categor(y/ies). No avatars are to be revealed in the ATG. Doing so will invalidate your entry. You have just over 2 weeks to work on an avatar just like preparing a costume in real life. The difference is that it will only be revealed on Halloween by the crew.

You can enter any one specialty category, and then make an entry for the Overall category. You can enter the same costume in both your specialty and the Overall categories. I'd just like to see some creativity and diversity. wink

Find the categor(y/ies) you wish to participate in and send a PM to the judge with a TekTek costume fitting that category. If you can make your dream costume without tektek that's great for you but we're running it TekTek for multiple reasons.
1: all avatar images are the same size, no cropping.
2: everyone, new and old, has a good costume available.
3: nobody accidentally saves the changes when looking at their costume and starts running around in it a week early.



Overall, Creepiest and Cutest can all be just an image.

Best Costume Overall
Anyone can enter this category along with a specific category if they wish. This category is different in one aspect. The costume submitted to the Overall category should be your avatar dressed up for halloween. Base model with hair, eyes, and most importantly gender should remain the same as your current avatar. You can use TekTek to give yourself any costume you desire.

Best Themed Costume
A costume following a theme such as 'medieval', 'cowboy', '1950s housewife' or such. Try to make it look like a professional costume if you wish to win. If you can find a ( preferably small) reference picture to show your intended look then kudos.

Be someone specific! While some recent sets make cosplaying very easy (Vash?) your ingenuity will determine how well you do, not who you choose to be. As with the Theme category, please include a small reference image so the judges can see how close you came or what you used to pull it off.

If this costume could be used to scare newbs in Gaia Towns, it has a chance of winning this contest. I've scared them by running around with rabbit ears, sharp fish teeth, and a garden spade. You can surely do better. (note, a catch-phrase makes a big difference in the scary-factor)
