Happy Halloween everyone!
Yes, as promised our event is up and running Monday morning (at least here in the west Monday morning...), and as some of you might have guessed, it's a Halloween spectacular!
Until the end of the month, we have all kinds of things lined up for your pleasure! Including a series of avatar costume contests for big money, a scary story writing competition, and an ongoing raffle of some very nice items. On Halloween night we'll be the home-base for all of your trick-or-treating on Gaia, and we're having a big party here for you to enjoy before and after, so make sure not to miss anything!

You only have to expend ten gold (per ticket) paid to MrJimmy through a trade and you will be added to the list of contestants in this thread. Eventually we'll use the number generator to pick us some winners. If you don't win anything you're name will be left on the list for the next day's raffle.
You can sign up up to five times (number might change), but to make it fare you can only win twice. We'll be raffling off one, or more, items a day starting today or tomorrow (depending on the the amount of sign-ups we get).
Technical Information The winner is determined by their corresponding number, which is assigned to them as the order that they sign up. The first person to respond to this will be number one, the second will be number two. A raffle will be announced to be happening five minutes in advance, giving people time to sign up before the number is chosen, and then a post is made with a random number generator between one and however many contestants there are at the time. When the winner is selected, that number is eliminated from the contest and everyone after him falls back one number. Likewise, if a person signs up five times, and wins twice his three other numbers are eliminated from the contestant listing and everyone behind him falls back four/three/two or one number.

ATG Scary Story Writing Contest
- Suggested word limit for your stories are 100 to 1000 words. If you go over, it's no big deal--just remember, the judges won't want to read a novel. If your story gets too long, they reserve the right to stop reading at a point and judge it up to that point.
- Your story should be dark in theme. I will give a list of prompts to get you rolling, but you most certainly don't have to use any of them. (For clarification, 'dark' is anything involving horror, suspense, angst, gore, the supernatural, etc.)
- Please keep to original characters, even if they're thinly veiled.
- Keep it PG-13, unless you do not want your story to be posted at the end. I know it's hard. D: But you can do it!
- You can start any time, but entries are due Saturday, October 28th at midnight. (Pacific time.) This is up in the air, any change will be noted well ahead of time.
- All entries should be PMed to Novatierrie, and NOT posted in the ATG. Please follow this format when doing so:

ATG Costume Party:
Setup:
Members - Send all donations to Jimmy as he is the 'bank' for this event. Then send a PM with your avatar costume entry to the judge for the appropriate categor(y/ies). No avatars are to be revealed in the ATG. Doing so will invalidate your entry. You have just over 2 weeks to work on an avatar just like preparing a costume in real life. The difference is that it will only be revealed on Halloween by the crew.
You can enter any one specialty category, and then make an entry for the Overall category. You can enter the same costume in both your specialty and the Overall categories. I'd just like to see some creativity and diversity. wink
Find the categor(y/ies) you wish to participate in and send a PM to the judge with a TekTek costume fitting that category. If you can make your dream costume without tektek that's great for you but we're running it TekTek for multiple reasons.
1: all avatar images are the same size, no cropping.
2: everyone, new and old, has a good costume available.
3: nobody accidentally saves the changes when looking at their costume and starts running around in it a week early.

Anyone can enter this category along with a specific category if they wish. This category is different in one aspect. The costume submitted to the Overall category should be your avatar dressed up for halloween. Base model with hair, eyes, and most importantly gender should remain the same as your current avatar. You can use TekTek to give yourself any costume you desire.

A costume following a theme such as 'medieval', 'cowboy', '1950s housewife' or such. Try to make it look like a professional costume if you wish to win. If you can find a ( preferably small) reference picture to show your intended look then kudos.
