Username: Scythe de Zaran
Who recruited: Lise
Name: Kyne Fordon
Age: 30
Gender: Straight male
Height: 6’2’’
Weight: 135
Race: Human
Social Class: Peasant
Appearance: Jet black hair normal length aka up to the top of his neck, Kyne’s a man with no beard and a little bit of a mustache if he doesn’t shave. (but he shaves… so…no mustache). His eyes are greenish with a twinkle of mischief every now and then. He is of a medium build with tan complexion from working outside at home. His clothes are usually simple and plain but neat; the neatness was something his stepmother really cared about. Kyne always seems to have a grin on his face no matter what the situation. In fact, he's been told to stop smiling a few times.
Personality: Quite the open outgoing person, Kyne will attempt to get everyone involved and cheerful in class even if he is down himself. He is the type that will start conversations and insist on making those who don't want to speak talk. If Kyne is down, he will not express those emotions outwardly. Because of his lack of sad expression, people never really know when Kyne is down. He holds it all inside of him, but someday, it will have to come out unless he realizes he needs to let it out sometimes to decrease it. Kyne also seems to have a long temper fuse. However, if that fuse is ever burnt to the end, it bodes ill for those around him.
Character flaws: “Curiosity kills the cat.” Kyne’s a bit nosy sometimes (must be from all that spying). In strength, he is neither strongest or weakest. Sometimes, his hearing is a little off (leading to quite amusing situations) due to a swimming accident..
Background: When he was born, his family, a royal one, raised him for a little and out of fear, sent him off to a peasant family, where it was arranged that he would be sent into the military at an early age, where hopefully, he would be killed. Those random peasants none other happened to consist of a rather adept warrior and a scholarly wife that had chosen to live as peasants to avoid the aristocracy. The peasants weren’t happy with the random appearance of this child at their doorstep. For the first week, they tried finding the parents of the child. Failing to do so, they reluctantly took the child as their own. Until they grew used to his presence and began to treat him as their own child due to futile attempts to find Kyne’s parents., Kyne was treated rather poorly. (Kyne Fordon is Kyne’s real name. It is not ironic that the foster parents named him the same thing. There was a note left with him, but Kyne’s family name was not really Fordon. Because he was ill prophesized, they named him differently.) To make Kyne useful, the parents had him do chores. He learned the art of plowing fields and farming from his father. His father trained his strength, endurance, and other “warrior” qualities with the chores. He was strict, and Kyne took a while to adjust to the hard chores. The father was also rather fond of the drink and had homemade wine. Due to this “tradition,” Kyne developed a very high tolerance for alcohol. The mother trained Kyne in house chores and took over Kyne’s main studies. Together, the parents educated Kyne on formalities and such. At some point, they sent him to school. Strangely, all the boys picked on him. Due to his mother’s teachings and his ability to concentrate and ignore other “attacks” on him, Kyne was able to breeze through school with flying colors. However, during that period, out of boredom and curiosity, Kyne developed spying skills in order to understand why the other kids bullied him. These spying skills stayed and grew within Kyne’s life. To make his chores easier and life easier on the whole family, Kyne experimented with creating small machines to help in daily life. For entertainment, he made small games and curious designs for the children of the village.
Then, came the fateful day that soldiers showed up at the doorstep of his home. He was forcefully taken into the military. Well, Kyne did not go kicking and screaming. He went along quietly, not willing to cause any trouble.
In the military, Kyne was confused. He didn’t understand why he had to be in the military. He started to make friends, but there always seemed to be a class discrepancy, but he remained cheerful. So, he stayed there for a few years, scoping around to find the reasons of the military until he was discharged. The discharge occurred after a practice skirmish. What Kyne didn’t know was that the skirmish was arranged so that he would be killed. Kyne came out wounded and tired, but survived. However, not all of his comrades survived. Kyne had wounded some of them when he was fiercely defending himself in a way that was fatal. It had been a blur for him. They hadn’t been trained to fight off groups of people alone.
Returning home, Kyne’s parents told him the truth about him; how they had found him and the strange way that the military had come to recruit him. They did not know about the assassination attempts.
Life continued normally afterwards, and Kyne migrated into the city to make a living, sending money back to his foster parents every now and then and visiting them. Remembering how his school education was like, Kyne decided to make a difference in –insertname- University. He took the chance and applied.
Skills: Drinking alcohol and not getting drunk a.k.a. high tolerance. Spying. Specializes in making small machines to assist in experiments(such as something that acts as a runner to get supplies or pour chemicals) and entertainment type objects/games. In the future, Kyne hopes to be able to make androids, human like machines that can act as humans as well. I won’t list the fighting…because he’s not exactly the best at it. He fares well … when he’s “bereserking.”
Classes: Science (but really no preference)
Character secrets: Kyne’s full name means “Royal One to Destroy.” In a prophecy many years ago, his coming was foreseen, and it was said that he would destroy the royal line. Because of this prophecy, there have been attempts to kill him. Now, Kyne does not know of this prophecy or his name meaning, and he does not know that he is of the royal bloodline. He knows however, that his foster parents are not his true parents. I suppose if you want to characterize Kyne as a fighting type, he would be ranked with the berserkers.
Regarding Kyne’s name,… something will come to pass eventually.
Anything else? Kyne can be quiet an “immature” adult. For example, if there was a food fight, there’s a chance that he may participate as well. So, in a way, he is closer to the students than the older teachers.
RP Sample: Consider the previous Altair establishment.
