I was thinking about the guild fund. I'm not sure what it'll be for (or if any of us are sure) but I bet whenever Gaia makes use for it the events will be expensive. So I was thinking we could have little fund raisers to add to our fund. Well, more like auctions in exchange. Say if someone has extra items or trunks that they don't mind parting with we could auction them off in exchange and then add the gold to our guild fund.

It's not my original idea, I'm sure I've seen it done at least one other place, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea nonetheless. At least not to me. I'm not sure how everyone else would feel about it.

Livythia: I think that is a great idea. Everyone has been very generous already, but I have been looking around at other guilds and some of them have over 10,000 gold or more already saved. I agree with you that whatever Gaia has in mind for the guild funds, it will probably be super expensive seeing as how it cost 20,000 gold just to open a guild. So your idea of people auctioning off items they no longer need is a super idea.

It may have been a mistake, if we need gold in a hurry, but I didn't want to put a cost to join this guild. I wanted to have a place where the rich and poor alike could come and worship Anita together. smile

Rvaya: No one knows what the guild fund will be used for. There is talk and rumor, but nothing concrete as of yet. The only pretty sure thing is some kind of Guild Quest, that we would do as a guild. I think it would be a competitive thing between all the guilds. But I have no idea. As of right now, no one can use the gold set aside for the guild, but it is up to us to raise the gold as high as we can to prepare for whatever Gaia has in store for it.

Well, I don't care either way. I would be perfectly happy to auction the stuff off if anyone wants to give it to me to do so, but if they want to do it themselves then they can keep part of it if they want and just donate whatever they feel comfortable with.

If I do it, then it gets put under my name in the Guild account, but I would give the person who donates it credit under the thank you post that I run under the announcement section.

But if the person wants credit for the donation in the Member List & Account log, then they have to donate the actual gold. I would even be willing to auction the item off for them and then give the gold back to them so that they could donate it to the guild and get the credit by their name, in case the person has never run an auction before, or is unsure how, or if you haven't gotten a license to run a trade. I have one so it isn't a problem.

If anyone does want to donate an item, I have started an announcement post so we can keep track and it will be all on the up and up. I don't want anyone thinking I am keeping the stuff for myself wink .
