Hey everyone. This thread is being put up to see if I get positive or negative response to a new roleplay idea that I have. The Roleplay's name (subject to change, if I see fit) is Due For Deletion. Now... it will not be apparent why the roleplay is called this with the little snippet of the story I am going to post in the second post.
Negative response= No new Roleplay...... and you can probably guess on your own what a positive response will mean. I got this idea from one of my other threads in the Roleplay section of the guild, which Syth has marked as Due for deletion! Save all graphics. It went from the first line, to an entirely original roleplay. Anyways, on to the next post........

Story The year is 3476, and humans have become extremely high-tech with all their creations. The World Fifth War was taking place at this time, all technology taking huge leaps and bounds forward. Around the middle of the Fifth World War, technology took an extremely big leap forward, as a technology breakthrough that was unprecedented to any other showed itself in the form of solders on the battlefield. These special, and few breed of soldiers were infused with a type of ‘biological’ nano-bot. These bots were only as big as individual blood cells, and worked in conjunction with the hosts bodily functions.
For example, if a soldier became wounded, the nano-bots would automatically go to work, repairing the tissue and helping the body recover from the shock of the injury. This allowed soldiers to recover from injuries without needing medical assistance, and were able to get back to their feet faster after being shell-shocked. The results of the nano-bots were extremely good, so good that an underground society of scientists devoted themselves to finding a new way to use the nano-bots for other purposes, like enhancing someone’s mental abilities, or loosening off the inhibitor that the mind places on the body, allowing it to not be able to have more than a certain amount of strength.
These scientists were quite successful, and in the latter parts of the war, soldiers were infused with these new nano-bots, causing them to gain abilities that were considered by most to be extremely abnormal. Some nano-bots changed appearances and bodily functions, causing the hosts to, in some cases, grow fangs and become basically immortal as long as they drank some form of blood other than their own. Many uses were discovered over the course of the last few years of the war, causing a swell of super-human beings. During The Swell, many people infused with the new enhancing bots went insane, and eventually ended up killing themselves. The ones that did not become mentally unstable basically took over the war, being an unstoppable force. The Fifth World War had ended abruptly after The Swell, with the ones possessing the nano-bots being the victors.
It has been five years since the Fifth World War, and things seem to be back on track. Most buildings have been repaired, and human civilization itself is prospering quite nicely. In this time of recovery, the Governments of many large cities have started a program. This program was launched to destroy the nano-bot-infused beings, which had gone into hiding after the war, for fear of prejudice and abuse. True, many of these people still walked the streets, but they kept their abilities under the radar, not wanting to be discovered.
This is about one-third of the story. I plan to expand it much more than just this. ^-^

Thx, Sweet-san.
I just hope that more people would comment on it. Maybe it's just because not many people check out the OOC forum. Oh well. I am going to make it anyways, whenever I feel up to it, which should not be that long.

Well, if it's futuristic and concerns robots and the like, I'll join it. Sounds pretty cool. ^_^

Good to hear, Jragon-san.
@ Metanaito: Well, if you do create a character before the story is complete, you might just have to change your character a bit. Eitehr way, it's good to know that you'll be creating a character for it.

Hmm, since that's the case, I'll get back to developing the story tommorow. I've had too much on my plate recently to be able to sit down and finish the dang story.
