Your dorm and roommate will be selected for you. The common room is located at the end of the hall, a giant fireplace located along the wall. Each dorm is supplied with two freestanding metal-framed beds with mattresses, two freestanding wardrobes, two built-in bookshelves, and two freestanding desks. Each dorm also has a full bath (a bathtub and vanity desk). Students will be provided linens, and they will be asked to strip down their bed every two weeks for laundry. Also, with their dirty linens, their uniforms may also go out for washing. If linens are damaged, the student is responsible for repair/replacement costs. Chamber pots will be dumped every morning.
Each student is responsible for their dorm rooms, and will receive demerits if rooms are not clean, in a state of disrepair, and anything that the Dormitory Assistant (DA) in charge of your floor sees problematic. The dorms are not coed, meaning that men and women are in separate wings of the building. It is a fundamental rule that they are not to be in private in their rooms. Doing so will be an offence marked by expulsion.
If you and your roommate have issues, you must bring this before the DA. If there are continued problems, bring this before the counsel of the sponsor of the dorm. If, even after this, there are problems, you will be asked to report to the headmistress.
