I want to say at launch, but I'm afraid they'll be out and I'm not really willing to wait in line for very long. Probably soon after launch. Warhawk and UT2007. <3

Ideally when it comes out (the day or week of), but I'm thinking I'll end up waiting until there are a few games I MUST HAVE, like FFXIII or something. Now that I'm old enough to have a job, I should have enough by launch time.

I'll probably try to get it when the price drops by $100-200. $599 is WAY to much!. The games I'm really looking forward to is GTA4 and Gran Turismo 4.

well ya's better be ready for shortages, cus Sony planed to have 6 million playstations for the world wide release, they have fallen well short and plan to ship out 2 million....for a world wide release, then have 2 million more the month after that, and 2 million more the month after that

I dont know, it all depends on when it comes out and how much. If its over two hundred and fifty, forget that. There is no use in me spending money that much just to look hip and in with it. Wait till its cheaper, thats the best idea and the smart idea as well.

I was all set with enough money to get one at release, however I just ended up ordering a new PC.. when it finally gets all together (its having issues).. and that might have dipped into the funds a bit too much, cause in a single year on 2 items id be blowing over $3000 Canadian sweatdrop

If I get this new job in time, then I'll be getting mine on launch. I'm looking forward to the next installment of the Soul Blade/Calibur series.

I will get mine on Novembor 17th 2006. I am not sure of what the launch game will be out at the time, so I cannot choose.

Well, I'm the manager of a Gamestop, so I plan on getting mine launch day (since we aren't doing reserves for it, I'm just going to hook my staff up, as well as myself and our regular customers that want one). As for launch games, if Metal Gear Solid 4 turns out to be a launch title (which is still up in the air), then definitely that. Otherwise, Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword, Genji 2, Resistence: Fall of Man, and Warhawk. Maybe I'll rent Sonic from my store just to have variety. FYI, IGN (while pure evil), has a release list for PS3. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html
