I heard once about a boy who's father insisted that he learn something everyday. At dinner, before he could eat the boy had to tell his father what he learned that day. If he couldn't think of anything, the boy would go get an encyclopedia and learn something so he could eat. True story. I wish I could remember the boy's name. Well, he's an old man by now.
Anyway, the purpose of this thread is to post and discuss things you have learned.

I learned that Alcatraz Prison is not in use as correctional facility any more. And here I'm thinking it still is >.>. It's a museum now I believe.

Today, something new too: Contrary to popular belief, it's not recommended to give cats milk. Even though they drink it, it can give them diarhea and stomach pain.

Cretaius_Sempai I learned that Alcatraz Prison is not in use as correctional facility any more. And here I'm thinking it still is >.>. It's a museum now I believe. Its a museum, and a great place to visit, I wouldn't want to live there.lol. I went there on a port visit to San Fran. On my duty day, all we showed on the movie channel was THE ROCK. Today I learned that even if it doesn't pertain to what you need to know, sooner or later it might. SO STOP GOOFING OFF IN CLASS!

I learned that in the crab fishing industry "greenhorns" earn less than 1 share, and that ice can be deadly- and all of those men are insane!! (Deadlies Catch is my newest reality addiction!) Cretaius_Sempai I learned that Alcatraz Prison is not in use as correctional facility any more. And here I'm thinking it still is >.>. It's a museum now I believe. I've been there- its freaky and COOL!

i learned that if you disreguard your yard, well side yard (i live on a corner street) and someone parks an rv out infront of it, you get threatening letters saying they will call someone on you stare
i live in a mid upper class area stare

Today I learned that even when trying to help someone find their missing child via Gaia's PM system to send the picture out to your friendslist can sometimes make enemies and you may not have someone as your friend any more. sweatdrop And here I thought I was doing a good deed! crying If anyone still wants a copy of that PM though, I'll send it to you.
