I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut. My weakness is that I care too much. And my scars remind me that the past is real. I tear my heart open, just to feel.
Zandor Evens, a sixteen year old male with red hair that falls into his face to hide his grey eyes. He may be the greatest artist in his class with a big secret.
He's in love with the best musician in his school.
Troy Daniells, a seventeen year old male with messy black hair that hangs in his blue eyes. He's the best musician in the school who's filled with secrets.
One night, these two boys met at a part Troy was playing for.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Zandor leaned against the wall as he listened to Troy sing. He glanced up at the black haired boy and saw his eyes halfly open as he gazed at the crowd. His blue eyes were partly hidden behind his sun glasses. Zandor watched Troys fingers slide over the frets of the bass as he sung into the microphone, "
...I'm dunk and I'm feeling down, and I just wanna be alone..." Zandor stared at Troys blue eyes as he listened to the words he sang.
Troy let his fingers dance across the strings of his bass. There was nothing more he loved than to play his music. His eyes scanned the crowd until his blue eyes met with Zandor Evens grey eyes. "
...I left my heart open, but you didn't understand! You didn't understand..." His eyes were locked to Zandors. It was at that moment, he felt an odd connection to this boy he had never met.
Zandor looked away quickly, his heart pounding.
I wonder if he even recognizes me? Zandor thought to himself,
We've had classes together since junior high, but I don't think he's even noticed... "Exscuse me?" A blonde girl said, inturupting Zandors thoughts, "Can I get you to write your name down?"
She held out a small scrap of paper and a pencil, and without thinking, Zandor scribbled his name down.
"Thanks." The girl giggled as she placed the paper in a jar.
"What in the world did I just sign up for?" muttered Zandor as he listened to the last note ring out of Troy's song.
A few moments later, the same giggly girl was standing on the stage next to Troy. "As those of you who may be wondering why I gathered your names," The girl began, "We're going to be playing a little game called Seven Minutes in Heven!"
Troy, who was gluping down a bottle of water, choked on a sudden inhalation of water. Before he had began playing, the girl had taken his name.
Oh great, he thought,
I'll have to avoid some ditzy girl while trapped in a closet..."For those of you who dont know the rules," the girl continued, "I'm going to draw two names from this jar, and whoever is chosen will have to go into that closet for seven minutes and kiss!" half the room cheered as the girl giggled, "And here's the real kicker girls, Troy Daniells name is in the pot!"
A sudden burst of squeals filled the room as all the guys covered their ears. When the squealing died down, it was replaced with the girls chanting, "Draw the names! Draw the names!"
The girl dug her hand into the jar and pulled out two slips of paper. "Okay, the lucky couple is....TROY DANIELLS--" Squeals filled the room.
Of corse... Troy thought miserably.
"And....." The girl just stared at the paper and began giggling again, "ZANDOR EVENS!"
Zandor's heart seemed to skip several beats at once when he heard that. Half the girls squeled again while the guys just groaned.
Troy hopped off the stage and walked over towards Zandor. Zandor's heat beat wildly in his chest as Troy came closer and closer to him.
"H-Hey..." Zandor said when Troy stood infront of him.
"...You realize your leaning on the door, right?" Troy said as he looked down to Zandor.
Now Zandor wasn't a short boy, but he came up to Troys chest.
"Oh!" Zandor stumbled out of the way and Troy opened the door.
Once both boys were in the small closet, the door was shut and locked behind them. "Seven minutes boys..." A girls voice said through the door.
Zandor felt his heart beating hard in his chest as he watched Troys figure stumble around in the dark. Troy sighed, "I'm a man of my word... and atleast you're not one of those giggiling twits." He sat on that seemed to be a large crate.
"We dont have to, ya know, kiss, if you dont want to." Zandor said, even though he didn't mean it.
"It doesn't matter to me," Troy said as he reached out to Zandor, "Besides--" His hand ran down Zandors arm until he reached his wrist, it was then he pulled the red haird boy onto his lap, "I like guys, not girls."
Zandor blushed as he felt Troy's hot breath on his face. Troy leaned closer to Zandors ear, "Can I kiss you?"
Zandor made a small sqweek-like sound, making Troy smirk, "I'll take that as a yes."
Troy wrapped his arms around Zander as their lips met. Troy's lips were warm against Zandor's. He felt as if he would melt right then as his heart beat rapidly. Zandor's lips felt soft to Troy, he seemed so sweet and inocent to him.
That's the night that these two boys would be connected together.
