Hi everyone and Happy Chinese New Year!! (Year of the Ox)

I started a thread last year about the Chinese New Year and with this years Chinese New Year fast approaching I decided to start another thread just for this year. I have the same info below as last year to help you find out what your Chinese Zodiac Sign is. Last year I confirmed that my Chinese Zodiac Sign is the Rabbit which I think is cool because I Love Sailor Moon so much. This year try to find an Anime / Manga series that you can relate to your sign. Also if you are doing something special for the Chinese New Year let us know.


Below is a fun little website that I found during some recent research on the Web. It's a Chinese Calendar Converter. Just go to the website enter your birthday and it will tell you what the Chinese day, month, and year that day was. Also it will tell you what your Chinese Zodiac and what Western Zodiac signs you are and some info about them.



After you figure out what your Chinese Zodiac sign is post it on this thread to let everyone know. Note: You don't have to post your birthday just your Zodiac Sign.

Here is a list of the Soma Family characters from the Fruits Basket Anime / Manga series. I have them listed by the Chinese Zodiac Calendar Month. I also note what animal they represent. Feel free to google their names if you want to know more about the characters. I'm not describing the characters in detail in this thread so I don't spoil anything. I very highly recommend watching both the original 2001 series and the new 2019 series. I own the 2001 series and I Love watching it over and over again.

I already knew what my Chinese and Western Zodiac are, but it's interesting to find out more information about it with that link to Chinese calendar converter.

Oh, sweet! I've also have an interest in rocks, gemstones, and the like as a kid. I don't have a huge collection, but I think I have a very small collection lying around somewhere at my parents' place? Wherever and whenever possible, I usually collect a rock or stone of some sort from places that I had visited. I then give it to my grandma as a keepsake. As a kid, I also used to collect a lot of rocks from my grandma's driveway, my parents' driveway, and the river in city that I currently reside in. According to my grandma, one of my older female cousins did the same thing, which I think is pretty neat!
