Welcome to A Reaper's Role, the modern fantasy RP that focuses on the events of the afterlife, and is loosely based on the Grim Reaper mythos from various cultures.

In this RP, all of the Player Main Characters are Reapers, beings who have been selected by the Gods to act as a Guide and Advocate of the Dearly Departed. All of the Reapers are chosen specifically to perform this task but are removed of all of their memories from their past lives so that they have no attachments to the world, and can work efficiently and effectively to care for and guide departed souls.

When first starting in the world, you will be met by senior Reapers that will teach you everything you need to know. Then its up to you to properly guide the souls that are assigned to you. Nothing is more important to a Reaper.

Setting Information

In a small blaze of light, your consciousness suddenly veers into existence, faded and blurred memories wiping away from you as you try to look up from the empty space you seem to be floating in. Your vision is blurry, and everything around you is glowing white, with no walls or ends in sight. In front of you, you see a blurred silhouette of what appears to be a woman gently pulling her hand away from your forehead, and you feel your consciousness fading back out. "It is done, the contract, complete..." A voice rings in your ears as the figure slowly backs away from you. The voice is the sweetest thing you've ever heard, echoing your very soul and filling you with unexplainable awe. As the voice trails off, the silhouette fades, and the white all around you fills you until you can't feel or see anything else, and then your consciousness fades just as fast quick as it appeared.

In the next waking moment, you wake in a black luxurious car, as it traverses into the mortal world, suddenly appearing in the streets of Jamsil City in New Kyoto. You do not remember who you are, or how you got there, the only thing you know for sure is that you died, and have taken on new employment, you are to be a Reaper.

When you start in the RP, your character starts by arriving in the black sedan at the gates of the Wellspring Inn. You are to report to the owner of the Inn, a Senior Reaper that will instruct you of your role in the world and prepare you to take on assignments as a newly formed Reaper in the mortal world. Everything else will be taught within the RP, and your story in A Reaper's Role will begin.

The world settings for this RP is an alternate world of mixed cultures while being heavily influenced by Asian cultures and mannerisms. So there might be all kinds of American and Europian like settings with heavy Japanese, Chinese, and Korean influence as a large country and city that has all of these elements. The City of Jamsil is the setting for this RP, in the larger city-state of New Kyoto. As the world grows in the RP, I will add more information here.
