The wolves of the Moongate have learned to thrive in adverse conditions - the competitive thrill of survival pushes them to capitalize on any opportunity to impress others, honor their brotherhood, or otherwise grow their skills. To help facilitate this growth, prompts will be provided on a semi-regular basis that will allow pack members to work towards several rewards.

Things to Know
In general, prompts will have a related theme or focus on a specific location in the pack's territory. Certain prompts may have additional requirements or acceptance criteria, like needing to incorporate a specific phrase, play a mini-game, or use a character of a specific rank or breed. Completing prompts can be used as a way to fulfill RP requirements needed to gain access to pack edits, titles, and rank ups..
Each batch of prompts will be active within a stated timeframe (usually 1-3 months), during which responses must be submitted to qualify for rewards. If needed, timeframes can be extended. When new prompts are available, an announcement will be made in the discord and the old prompts will be archived.
Interpret the prompts as you will, and use the pack's culture and setting to add flavor and authenticity to your responses.
Unless specifically stated, opportunities are open to all pack members, regardless of rank or breed. Unless specifically stated, opportunities can be solo/self RPs or RPd with a partner. Opportunities can be backlogged within reason. To be considered complete, submissions must meet the shop's complete RP requirements: [SRPs are 1000 words; with partner is 500 words, 250 per partner]. Offsite RPs need to be logged in the pack subforum to be eligible for submission. Entries must be submitted within the prompt's activity timeframe to qualify for any rewards. Each prompt can be completed and submitted once per character. If submitting multiple entries at once, please group them logically to ensure rewards are allocated correctly!

Current Prompts
Active: August 19th, 2020 - October 1st, 2020
The large lake in the valley glitters in the harsh sunlight - mirrored images of the vast glacial cavern and twin peaks high above are broken with the breaching of hunting fish lurking just below the surface, watching for thirsty insects. Dragonflies flit and stall, humming their hypnotic lullaby as they pass by. A drink from the clear waters would be cold and refreshing, and the thought of taking a plunge, or even just a dip of the toes, has crossed many minds.
The turquoise-hued lake stretches out before you, beckoning.
Prompt 1
Name: Stare into the water
The Moontalkers say that water is a window into the soul, and use it often to conjure their visions. The lake at the Underbelly is a prime location for doing so, and has even been said to ‘show things’ to those who are not Seers themselves. What do you see in the water? Perhaps some fish, a memory, … or something else?
Gained attribute(s): +1 Wisdom
Prompt 2
Name: Gone fishing
A common children’s story in the Moongate is the origin of how there came to be fish in such a remote lake, where few things thrive in the cold. The teachings of the Moontalkers weave a story of the Moon turning precious pearls into bountiful fish for her loyal patrons, though some decidedly less religious (or more practical, like Rangers) say simply that migratory birds sometimes drop their prizes, or have otherwise deposited hitch-hiking fish eggs in their travels. Whatever you believe, fish are a prized meal when they are available, and your intention is to catch one. How do you fare?
Gained attribute(s): ??? Additional acceptance criteria: Using the fishing game, catch at least 1 fish
How to play the fishing game:
Roll a 1d20 to determine what you caught from the table below:
1- 4... A clump of moss 5 - 7... A feather 8 - 10... A fish skeleton and bones 11 - 12... The tail end of a small fish 13 - 15... An arctic cod - Silvery and small, 5 inches 16... A pygmy whitefish - Plump, with a shiny brown back and white belly, 5 inches 17... A pair of arctic cod - 2 small specimens, 6 inches 18... A rainbow smelt - Slender with a silvery, pale green back and iridescent belly, 7 inches 19... An arctic char - Plump, with a silvery back, bright red belly and pink spots, 9 inches 20... A lake herring - Slender, silvery with pinkish iridescent sides, 11 inches
Note: For this prompt, you may roll as many times as you like, but each attempt should be at least 50 words. Catching more fish will not result in additional attributes gained.
Prompt 3
Name: Take a dip
In warmer weather, swimming is incorporated into regular training for its many benefits. As you pull yourself through the water, muscles are toned and the heart and lungs are strengthened. The gentle resistance and lower impact helps with recovery from injuries and ailments like joint pain and stiffness, and can be less dangerous for younger recruits than the typical camp activities. However, learning to swim, especially in such frigid waters, can be difficult and many exhibit some hesitance towards the deep. What say you to a lap or two?
Gained attribute(s): +1 Constitution
