SCP- 2845 : The Deer

tab tab tab tab SCP - 2845 is a Keter class entity that we are looking to contain. We have yet to find a container that will work for it, therefore, we think its best to try and just appease it.

Trinket(s): Trinkets?! For this magical thing? NEVER!
Ritual(s): A shallow dish filled with soap and water, a tiny lit tealight candle floating in the center set up in the corner of the dark room the Awakened is assumed to be in, set up under a dusty table.
Explanation/other: Of all things, why would this work for the pony? EASY! it gets rid of fleas!
Some lackey thought of a simple solution: rid the pony of a flea-infested area and maybe, just maybe it would be happy enough to befriend him. Smart, right?
So he sets up this little tray to trap the nasty little leeches of blood and perhaps the pony would reward him with a crisp high five.

Trinket(s): A very nice hat
Ritual(s): Make soft pretzel dough while singing anything upbeat that comes to your mind, but like you've got an entire baked potato shoved in your mouth. (You may put a potato in your mouth to do this if simulating is not your strong suit) Let dough rest for twenty four hours before twisting into shape, rolling into salt and baking.

While baking, procure cheese and melt it. Place it in a dipping bowl and set it in a serving basket. Take freshly baked pretzels and set them in basket before heading to the nearest wooded area. You will find the hat required not too far from where you need to be. Place hat over face, walk backwards into the forest (Do NOT drop the pretzels and cheese), and whistle idly until your back hits a tree. Leave the basket and hat at your feet and exit the forest without looking back.

If you were successful, SCP-2845 should immediately follow you out of the woods whistling the song you sung while making the pretzels. (The hat will somehow be perfectly shoved over their face. They do not need your help. Trust that they are indeed quite happy you found it for them) If you failed, the pretzel basket and cheese will magically appear upside down on your head. Clean yourself up and try again.

Explanation/other:

- SCP-2845 loves three things in this world. Really good ale, soft pretzels, and cheese dip.

- Wearing the hat while offering the food is a sign of friendship and civility. (They stole it from somepony's house party ages ago. They don't know who it belongs to now)

- The singing and whistling are somehow integral to how the pretzels and cheese taste, and singing like you have a potato in your mouth produces the best pretzels.

- Not turning around at all in the woods is for your own safety, really. SCP-2845 has been known to scare away those who witness them before they've tried the offering. You don't want those antlers coming to ram you from behind, would you?

Trinket(s): The purest and most elligent of diamonds
Ritual(s): To tame SCP-2845 present them with a dish of souls that have recently passed on. Of natural causes of course!! Goodness me nobody likes the soul of a restless and murdered individual.

Back away from the dish and respect SCP-2845 enough to give them space to view this new offering. If the offering pleases them SCP-2845 should gladly consume the souls presented without much trouble. In those moments as the souls are being consumed present SCP-2845 with the pure diamond. If it is truly pure indicating its superiority with its clear and reflective center to other gems of the world SCP-2845 will touch the gem in a sign of good faith and become your companion. Mind you, you yourself must also be of pure character as well, SCP-2845 will not follow one with wicked schemes in their wake.

If any of this ritual were to dissatisfy SCP-2845 or show impure motives or character be ready to face their rath. It would be a miracle to see you escape alive.

Explanation/other: SCP-2845 may be a ghoul hybrid a species that has been stereotyped as ruthless and willing to do anything to get their next meal, but that doesn't define them. They are a calm and noble being who unlike their counterparts enjoys purity and the circle of life. They find impurity in any form to be sickening and needless bloodshed to be disgusting. As a result, SCP-2845 has found it hard to trust many and find a willing companion. In a world where everyone is in it for themselves SCP-2845 is looking for a companion who still emulates empathy, purity, and understand. A rather calm being in general SCP-2845 does, however, understand that if the time calls for it one must do what is necesarry to survive in front of an enemy.

Trinket(s): A small potted green hellebore flower, and three gold coins approximately the size of silver dollars.
Ritual(s): The potted flower is to be placed five feet in front of the entity, then the three coins placed in triangle around the plant. After this, holy oil should be poured in a curved line between you and the offering, curving towards yourself. Step back, bow your head, and wait. Should SCP-2845 be appeased, they will take the trinkets and bow their head to you in return. If this doesn't happen, you are to keep your head bowed and back out of their presence, maintaining zero eye contact.
Explanation/other: SCP-2845 is to be viewed as a higher entity, perhaps even godlike. The flowers are a gift of appreciation, while the coins are seen as a tithe of sorts. The holy oil serves as a barrier between you and the entity, as you are lesser. SCP-2845 should feel respected, but also feared.

Trinket(s): Two pairs of glasses (one for each set of eyes) with a specific prescription attached to each, and a single book of poetry.
Ritual(s): This is a three step ritual:
Step One: You must prepare a box that contains the glasses within. You must then slowly walk towards SCP-2845 and announce that "I have a box!" and proceed to describe what the box is. "It is in a rectangular shape!" and "It is made of wood!" are acceptable ways to describe the box. ( Note: "It is obviously a box! You can see that it is clearly a box!" are ill-advised ways of describing the box and may result in harm.) Once you have gotten within three feet of SCP-2845, you are to open the box slowly and allow it to investigate the contents of the box: the glasses within.
If the entity accepts the glasses within, sources report that it will lower its head slightly. This will allow you to begin Step Two. (Note: You will know immediately if SCP-2845 does not accept the glasses within, because it will destroy the box. It is advised that you make a speedy getaway while it's attentions are focused on the box, before it turns its wrath upon you.)

Step Two: To begin, you must first place the box on the ground in front of you. Tell SCP-2845, "I am placing the box on the ground in front of me!" as you do so. Then, remove the first set of glasses (for its lower set of eyes.) Provided its head is still lowered, you may announce "I am going to put on your first pair of glasses!" You may do so, but you must not make any eye contact with the entity, lest you incur its wrath. Once you have secured the first pair onto its skull, let it adjust to the glasses. Keep your eyes on the ground and back away slowly to where you left the box. Let it look around, but remember do not look at the entity. If you hear SCP-2845 approaching you, you may proceed to Step Three.

Step Three: When SCP-2845 approaches you, you may bend over to retrieve the remaining pair of glasses. It should lower its head so that you may secure the glasses onto its top set of eyes. Resist the urge to look into any of its eyes. You may have to rely on muscle memory and good luck. Provided you have managed to secure the second and last pair of glasses, you will mirror Step Two, step back and let SCP-2845 adjust to its perfect eyesight. When you sense that it has adjusted accordingly, you may present a small book of poetry from your pocket. This entity has always expressed some interest in poetry, but you suspect that now that it can read on its own, it might prefer to do as much. You are to leave the poetry book open to the first page, face up on the ground while you back away slowly until the entity is out of your sight. You are to leave the box, too. If the entity is appeased, you may hear it uttering pleasant poetic noises as you leave. Do not look at the entity as you leave.

Explanation/other: SCP-2845 will never tell you this itself, but despite having four eyes, it has remarkably bad eyesight. It does its best to mask this and look elegant and regal, because it's incredibly self conscious about looking proper. Alas it has a habit of tripping over its elegant legs more often than it would care to admit.

SCP-2845's top eyes are far-sighted, while its lower eyes are near-sighted. The two pairs of glasses presented to it have specific prescriptions, so that it's eyes can finally match up and see normally, allowing SCP-2845 to be the best version of itself that it can be. At least when it comes to eyesight, that is.

Trinket(s): A small collection of necklaces

Ritual(s): N/A

Explanation/other: Being a Keter class entity, it means that no one has a solid understanding of the anomaly, nor how to deal with it. So even trying to appease it is a gamble. There are no right or wrong ways, no one set ritual that can guarantee your safety. Not without you trying out many different things to figure out which one fits. One agent decided to stay and study the entity for quite some time, watching others come and go with their offerings and rituals. It seems as if SCP - 2845 had taken a liking to more offerings based around nature.

Taking a chance to study this entity further, the agent approached with an offering of an uncommon toadstool, to which SCP - 2845 was almost grateful for. It even went so far as to place the toadstool gently amongst its antlers in an attempt to adorn itself. This gave the agent an idea.

A week or so later, the agent returned. This time, with a few necklaces in hand. Each had various flora pressed between pieces of glass and enclosed with wood along the sides. SCP - 2845 was drawn to the pieces, and when the agent had left, took one and draped it across its antlers. When the agent returned several days later, they found SCP - 2845 had taken all the necklaces given to it and draped them across its antlers, and even placed a few around its neck. It was excited to see the agent again, and even nudged the agent’s side lightly, looking for more necklaces. Every time the agent visits, now, they bring along a new necklace. It seems SCP - 2845 really enjoys these little touches of nature. Perhaps keeping it in an outdoor enclosure, where it feels more natural, would be a suitable solution?

Trinket(s): A Shattered Mirror, Three Objects of a personal nature, A Large Fan
Ritual(s): This is a Seven Step Process. One must adhere to the steps to the letter.
Step One :: Set the three objects in a triangular pattern as you stand in the center of them. Each Item should hold some importance to you on a spiritual level.
Step Two :: Taking the Large Fan you should unfurl it and slowly wave the fan in a circle. Spin in a perfect pivot. The Shattered Mirror should be tucked into a sash of some sort, with the mirror facing you.
Step Three :: As you finish the circle, place the unfurled fan at your feet facing the Northern Star.
Step Four :: Recite this poem ~~
Through the Glenn, Dale and Veil
We call upon thee
Sanctum Hale
Guide us here
Or we fail
Dear Sanctum Hale

Offering these three
Treasures of a Heart
That has wavered
So, we do part
A Pure intention
From the Start

Dear Sanctum Hale
So, we ask thee
Guide us there
Take us beyond
The Dark Veil
Dear Sanctum Hale

Step Five :: As you recite the poem, keep your eyes to the fan. Bring the shattered mirror out slowly. Focusing the mirror downward. Never look into the mirror.
Step Six :: As you lower the mirror, kneel so that your front legs are bent on either side of the fan's base. If you see the Fan move, you don't.
Step Seven :: Lowering your head, slowly turn the mirror so that it faces above you. If all has worked then you should see SCP - 2845 hovering above you. If they take the fan. Place the mirror away from yourself but still keep SCP- 2845 in view. Stay in that position until you feel a nudge or it leaves.
Explanation/other: SCP - 2845 is a old being, they hate to be viewed by perfect things as they feel they are imperfect. The Poem was written by a old artist who claimed they befriended the being. However, the name "Sanctum Hale" is that of the artist....not SCP- 2845. The three items are meant to show SCP- 2845 that you have honesty and purity to you. Without these it won't trust.

Trinket(s): Come as you are, to be one blessed by the Holy Hart. Bring any personal or important talisman that wouldst be blessed by the Holy Hart, or has already been blessed. All ages may attend.
Ritual(s):
All present at the ritual form a circle with the altar at the center. The items to be blessed are placed upon the alter as one approaches and joins the circle.

The ritual chant is performed by all participants. The chant is as follows:

One dost put one's right hand in
One dost put one's right hand out
One dost put one's right hand in and
One dost shake it all about.
Do the Holy Pokey and turn one's self about
That's what it's all about.

The chant wouldst continue with other body parts: left hand, right foot, left foot, whole self.

Explanation/other: When one wouldst put one's whole self in, they wouldst be blessed wholly twofold by the Holy Hart. Rejoice!

Ritual(s): This is a Guiding creature of lost souls. They wish to assist your loved ones in making their final journey through the forgotten lands. Those who dare, may request their aide. These steps MUST be followed in the order below, or one will risk losing their own soul.

Step 1: You must locate a natural formation of white mushrooms that grow in the shape of a circle.

Step 2: Once the mushroom ring has been found, place a simple white stone bowl in the center of the circle as well as an item to offer the Guide.

Step 3: Being an old creature, you must find a leaf from an ancient tree as old as they are. This leaf is to be placed within the white stone bowl.

Step 4: Unicorn purified water of the iciest kind must be poured slowly over the leaf inside the white stone bowl. Do not spill any of it.

Step 5: Four white candles, handmade, are to be placed in the four cardinal directions around the white stone bowl, but within the circle of mushrooms. Once place, lit them.

Step 6: Bow down just outside the circle of mushrooms and make your request. There you will wait, eyes closed, until the Guide answers your call. If they have judged your intentions pure, they will drink from the bowl, blow out the candles, and take the offered item. Absolutely, under no circumstance, are you to gaze upon the Guide before this, or else risk losing your own soul.
Explanation/other:
SCP - 2845 is a Guiding creature of purity. By requesting it's aide, it must see that you are a pure soul. Those that handle the items it has requested are judged. If they follow through with the ritual as requested, their judgement is sound and pure. The Guide will take the time of the lost souls and lead them to their final resting place. Should those making the request gaze upon the Guide, it will assume they are a lost soul as well and take theirs along for the journey.

Explanation/other: SCP-2845 is a type of forest god, nature lives and dies by his breath. It is a cycle. By taking great care in creating this terrarium of old, carefully gathered nature SCP-2845 might be lured out of the forest, interested in friendship with the creator.

This ritual also works well as a Godly Plant Fertilizer, minus the stones and wood. Use only in extreme causes of drought or disease on precious crops and house plants. If misused will cause one hundred years of drought and plague on your plants.
