Finally, the Spring Market had wrapped up. Sunset Haze had finished packing up all their fabric, sewing supplies and tent. Its always a hassle and Sunset wasn't sure how much longer they wanted to do this. Maybe they could clear all the going on in their head with a Con? Of course! Cons always helped. A little fun, some new people, maybe even some reoccurring ones! You never know with Cons. With a stern not, Sunset dug out a few costumes. They already had a soft spot for the Sylveon costume so they would likely main that. After spending some time getting dressed, Sunset Haze, or 'Zen' as they were known online happily entered the large building. Zen was fairly well know in the cosplaying community so they were stopped here and there to take pictures and chat with fans and others nearby.

 Every day was a day for her to look her best, to strut what she had and show off to the fullest extent of her capabilities. Violet was extremely good at doing that, so good in fact that she often had other ponies eyes on her at all times, watching how she moved, watching what she did and how she spent her days. It was the price she paid for the performances she put on, but that didn't mean she had to enjoy all the attention in her down time. In fact that was exactly why she was dressed the way that she was now, sitting at a table and sipping juice at a con while she watched other ponies wander by in cosplay.
It was easy enough to avoid any recognition dressed as one of her favorite characters from one of her favorite games, not that she let anyone know that she played those. Across her face rested a mask that hid at least some of her brightness and that she'd dyed her mane and tail a temporary black that she could wash out later, well that had paid off. Not much to be done for her wings, so she'd simply brought them in as part of the cosplay, wearing rings clipped to and the joints of each phalanges to match all the other jewelry the character usually wore.
But while she wasn't generally interested in the attention, someone else caught her own, a pony that made even her giddy! Violet jumped to her hooves and made her way over towards Zen almost nervously.

Zen smiled for some photos and waved at some people. They were about to have a seat when another approached. Zen nodded in appreciation of the costume. It was very well made and very accurate. "I love what you did with your costume!" Zen gave the other a careful look over. "Very well made." They smiled a bit awkwardly. Even doing this for as long as they had, they still get flustered around others. Their eyes couldn't peel from the mask. Perhaps they felt a little sheepish being in such a simple, cutesy outfit and not in one of their well know lavished ones. They offered an open hoof, usually it resulted in hugs or a hoof-shake. They didn't mind either or. "I'm Zen."

Under normal circumstances she might have tried to hide behind her wings a little at the praise from a cosplayer that she admired so greatly complimenting her, but Violet's face was already behind a mask, hidden from much of view at least. She wasn't certain that many ponies here would actually know who she even was, so maybe that was why she was so willing to turn her normally nonplussed facial expression into one of glee and beamed up at Zen. "My name's Violet Dream and thank you so much. It doesn't look so near as amazing as yours, but I love the character so I had to try." Her pink wings fluttered just a bit as she gave the other a shake, not wanting to breach her boundaries and put her off her comfort. She'd known much of that herself over the years.
"Are you only here for the day or are you here for the entire stay?" She had taken the week off herself to get away from her normal dances, check around and buy a few games and then swag. How could she resist?

"Try? It's very successful if you ask me." They chuckled lightly and eyed a chair. "I know you were just sitting but my hooves are killing me." They pulled out two chairs for the each of them and had a seat, pulling back the hood of the costume. "I'm not sure. I might just do the whole thing. It's been a while since I've had some fun." Zen retrieved a cloth from the depths of their costume and wiped off a bit a sweat, happy only to have one other around. "You must be a fan of that game." Zen looked about sheepishly. "Its one of my favorites, so I must say.. I'm a huge fan of your costume." Hopefully in a but Violet wouldn't mind taking a picture together for their blog.

"Not so well as what you're wearing, I can't believe the stitch work done on there." Violet wasn't exactly star struck but she was deeply overjoyed to have finally met the pony that she'd been seeing at different conventions and online. To see that they were just as good in person as any picture dared show, it was dizzying. Like meeting an idol of sorts. "Oh please, make yourself comfortable! I'm so sorry to have intruded, I just saw an opening and had to come and meet you. I'm glad that you'll be here the entire weekend though, it'll give you a chance to not just do photo-ops I hope?"
Was she being embarrassing? She felt as if she were embarrassing for certain.
But... Zen played the same game that she did? Played it and it was one of her favorites of all? Well then she certainly needed to know... "That costume of yours is far superior and I love that series myself, but this is always my go-to game. Next time I'll have to search for your username when I'm on, see if you and I can strike up a team." At that she gave a mischievous wink.

Zen laughed. "I really don't mind! I love meeting fans and lovers of the same series as myself!" When ever Zen was at a con they were much more open to interacting with others. Catch them working and you'd think it was a different pony entirely.
"I always make sure to save time for myself! As much fun as photo-shoots are, enjoying the con is even more fun." They blushed a bit at the wink. "Here is my card."They dug into a hidden pocket in the hoodie and retrieved their business card, then on the back gave Violet their more private contacts."I'm a seamstress for a living. I'd love to do more group cosplays! Its easier to get pulled away from those shoots that take a bit too long." They returned the wink.
