MONDAY NIGHT RAW (8/27/18): PETE DUNNE VS. APOLLO CREWS

[Chicago Makes Punk]

 

[Apollo Crews]

The commercial break would cut towards the end of Apollo's entrance with his theme fading away and cheering fans. Apollo would point out to the crowd, while warming up in his corner. Waiting for his opponent and one of the four man he will face at Destination-X, he knew that this match was an opportunity to feel Pete Dunne out and to establish himself as a clear favorite to win the Eliteweight Championship. Crews was zoned though, he planned on treating this the same as he would treat the Ultimate X match. He wanted to prove to the world he was one of the best wrestlers that TNW:R and the entire universe had to offer. He would patiently wait for Pete Dunne to make his entrance...

The stage was set. The crowd and people in attendance were in their seats. The
people were looking around the arena at the time as there was a quite arena.
All of it was set. And all of a sudden, the beat hit. The PA system blasted with
Pete Dunne theme song and was playing and echoing throughout
the whole arena. A music sound effect would play, as it would then hit.
Constant drum and guitar patterns started to play, as the curtain moved
seeing Pete Dunne walk through the curtain. He walked out quickly with
the biggest smug face that you'll ever see in your life. Pete Dunne would
raise up his arms and then taunt the crowd, as the crowd reaction was mixed.
Hardcore fans were cheering heavily for Pete Dunne, but most of the crowd
were booing him. Pete Dunne started to walk down aggressively down the ramp
while people were standing on their feet. The announcer would start introducing
Pete Dunne to the ring. "Introducing to the ring! From Birmingham, United Kingdom,
weighing in at two hundred...and five pounds....PETE...DUUUUNE!" Dunne would
continue walking down quickly down the ramp, as he eventually reached the end of the
ramp. He made a left turn and started to walk towards the steps. He quickly got on
top of them and then entered the ring. Dunne would walk to the center of the ring
and then looked around the arena with an aggressive face, then walked backwards
to the corner and started to get ready.

 

[Apollo Crews]

Apollo Crews would stretch his limbs, starring over at the so called Bruisterweight, Pete Dunne. Waiting for the bell to sound.

It was Bruiserweight, as Dunne would be in corner staring down at Crews. The bell would ring as Dunne walked out his corner with his arms up, looking at Crews waiting for his first actions.  

[Apollo Crews]

The bell sounded as the match would get under way. Apollo wasn't arrogant enough to rush Pete Dunne, not fully aware of his abilities instead he would offer a lockup.

Dunne would get into the lock-up with Crews, as Crews was obviously the way stronger man. Dunne started to back up to the ropes while still in the collar and elbow tie-up.

 

[Apollo Crews]

Apollo would lock up with Dunne and force him to the ropes. Once he forced him to the ropes, he would hold him there until the referee broke it up.

Dunne with a smug face, he started to raise his hands in the air while the referee was starting to separate both men. Trying to show some disrespect to Crews, he tried to go for a cheap slap to his face!  

[Apollo Crews]

Once separated Pete Dunne would take an opportunity to hit Apollo with a cheap shot, a slap heard throughout the arena, forcing fans to oooo! in unisense. Apollo felt disrespected and would respond with a combination of strikes.

Dunne would hold up his arms trying to cover his face, but was still hit with the strikes and was still affected by the combination, leaning against the ropes.

After overwhelming Dunne with a numerous amount of blows, pinning him against the ropes, Apollo would then use the rope as leverage to irish whip his opponent.

Dunne would be irish whipped to the ropes running to them, bouncing off of them and coming back to Crews.  

[Apollo Crews]

Apollo would rush to meet Pete Dunne before he reached the center of the ring, leaping up in the air and attempting a running crossbody!

Dunne was hit with the crossbody, then holding his body and then rolling to a nearby corner.
