The Performance Hall is for Dance and Drama students to perform their practical pieces in front of an audience and peers. This hall allows for multiple stages of varying sizes, there being 3 stages in total. There are also smaller performance rooms that can be used, especially by Dance Students who need an area to practice most times. Drama students often use the smallest of the three stages as their practice area.

Esmeralda walked towards the performance hall. She wasnt in any rush since it wasnt far from the arena. She had a smile on her face excited for her classes and also because she finally got to meet Noah in person. She had her headphones in once again as she walked into the stage area. She was the first one there which she didnt mind. She read her book as she waited lip singing and moving her hips to the music playing through her headphones. She was ready for class to start and excited to see how this class would go and what the term would be like for them.

Kaihe had followed a vast group of students towards the Theater building. Drama students would be using the smaller of the three stages as their classroom, while the dance students would use the smaller practice rooms and the medium stage for their performances. He already knew that main productions, dance and drama alike, would take place on the main stage. Choir students would also be in the practice rooms. Music students had their recording studio on the other side of the campus, so some band students had to run quickly to make it to their classes on time.
Kai had walked into the dance practice room, smiling at seeing other males there. He put his bags down and removed his jeans. He had dance shorts on underneath and a baggy t-shirt over it. The teacher commented that it would be best for dancers to wear attire close to his for the duration of the class. Kai smiled, glad he was doing something right straight away.
Meera had walked casually to her class, watching everyone run and tumble passed. She knew she would arrive on time, and that she had nothing to worry about. She took in the view of the campus, the smell of the citrus trees growing on the grounds, the small gardens between buildings. She walked into the Drama classroom and took a seat in the seating area, where many other students were. Small groups seemed to have already formed, but she was fine sitting on her own. She was currently in her traditional Indian sari, more so because it was what she was wearing when she left India and she had little time to sleep, so she didn't bother changing. It wasn't going to be her common attire, but she didn't care what the others thought about her. She was going to be perfect in drama so she could change her life for the better. "qυιтє α ℓαяgє ¢ℓαѕѕ. ι ωση∂єя ωнαт συя ƒιяѕт ρяσ∂υ¢тιση ιѕ gσιηg тσ вє..." she mumbled to herself.
Dennis walked to the center of the stage, where the microphone was standing, and tapped against it to get the attention of the students. "Good morning, everyone. I am Mister Constantinople, but if you struggle with that, Mister Coza works just fine. I am the drama teacher, here to show you to the wonderful world of acting and theater. Unlike most other classes, you will do minimal analytical work and focus predominantly on practical. We will be doing several essays on the author of the play we are going to perform at the end of term; Macbeth. Yes, this term we will be focusing on Shakespeare," Dennis said. There were a few groans that he dismissed, "we will focus more on building key component skills during this first, orientation week. In week 2, we will begin casting for Macbeth, so be ready. Drama terms go by quickly and it's hard work, so if you think this will be a walk in the park, you'll be sorely mistaken."
Esmeralda moved to a seat in the front while most of the students stayed in the middle or towards the back. She took off her headphones and put it away in her backpack after putting it on silent. She put her book away and pulled out a journal in case she needed to write anything. She could already here the whispers about he size and even on girl commenting on her outfit. Does she really think she can pull that off? No one wants to see her fat. But Esmeralda rolled her eyes and ignored it. They were sure she wouldn't get a good part in the upcoming play but she was excited. She loved shakespeare's work. She paid close attention to what the teacher said about how the term would go and she started to think about what part she would want to play as she thought back on the character and the story of the play.
Meera, sitting nearby to Esmeralda, overheard the girls snickering and the comments made. "ι нσρє уσυ gєт тнє яσℓє σf тнє ѕєяναитѕ. уσυ ∂σи'т ∂єѕєяνє αиу gσσ∂ яσℓєѕ ωιтн вєнανισя ℓιкє тнαт!" she huffed. The girls mouths dropped open and a few other students sitting around chuckled quietly. She didn't want anyone to suffer bullying, she knew something of it in her home town. There was a boy, Gagan, who killed himself because he was deformed and was tormented relentlessly. She had hoped to escape such pitiful behavior in India, but it seemed to follow her to Canada. She rolled her eyes and tried her best to put the incident behind her.
Esmeralda looked up hearing the comment Meera made to the girls that were making fun of her. She covered her mouth as she laughed quietly at their reaction. She was grateful that Meera said something though the comments didnt bother her. She was glad there were other people who wouldn't tolerate bullying. Bullying was unfortunately everywhere. She turned her attention back to the teacher listening as he went on with his discussion of how the class will flow this week.
Dennis glanced up at the girls making faces at Meera and narrowed his eyes at them. "Is there a problem, ladies? Do you really want to make an enemy of me on your first day?" he said flatly, although it was an empty threat. He didn't take lightly to bullying, but he also hated being interrupted. What he said was important, and if they didn't listen, he'd look into getting them moved into another major. He cleared his throat again and went through the roll call, listing name after name before getting to both Esmeralda and Meera respectively. With everyone present, and knowing the names of the trouble-makers, he pulled a projection screen down and made his way down the main aisle to start a projector. "We will be looking at different trailers for the production. One is the classic stage play version, the other a movie adaptation. Get an idea of what character resonates with you and go for it," he shouted.
Meera listened to everything that Mister Coza said, taking it all in. He seemed to be someone who loved drama enough that he wouldn't stand for distractions. He was also someone who wanted everyone to be treated as equals. Normally, she'd be able to sense the emotions of everyone in the room, but something was off. It was blank, like she didn't have powers at all. Had someone....switched them off? She didn't need her powers to act, but her empathy allowed her to connect to written roles more and bring them to life. She would rather use that to her advantage, but would do what she could without if need be.

POWER: Ability Learning and Imprinting
Esmeralda listened to the teacher as she thought through the play. She of course had it memorized having read the play before. She went through the lines thinking of what role she would want to prepare her audition for. She was still very excited for this term and wondered how everything would play out. Mister Constantinople seemed to have a passion for theater and she admired that and was excited to work with him more during this term as they studied and worked hard to bring this play to life.
When it came to the students doing their small rehearsal parts, Dennis already knew that the "bitchy squad" would have the most minor roles possible. He doubted they had the performance skill, not without help from their powers, and he didn't allow powers in his class. The other two girls, Meera and Esmeralda, he was interested to see what roles they would play. One of them would be Lady Macbeth. One would likely be Lady MacDuff. He would start with the students he had less optimism for, see if they proved him wrong, and work up to those who showed promise.
Meera stepped on to the stage to do her performance piece. She had an idea of who would be in what role, and knew the likelihood of gaining the lead role of Lady Macbeth was rather slim, but other main female roles were available to her. She cleared her throat and took a breath; her appearance spoke one thing but her acting would speak another. In a very believable European accent she recited the lines of Lady MacDuff. After a few minutes of spoken lines and acting, she waited in silence. Dennis and a few students clapped for her and she made her way back to her seat to watch Esmeralda go on next. She nodded her head in a good luck/brek a leg manner.
Esmeralda sat and watched Meera as she stepped on stage and prepared herself. It seemed she was going for Lady MacDuff. She recognized the lines as the play she had memorized now ran through her mind as she followed the lines in her mind. Memorization was one thing but acting was another and Esmeralda had confidence in her ability to act since she worked very hard to be at the level she was. She clapped when Meera was done. She had done so well and her accent amazed her. Esmeralda stood deciding to just go for it and audition for the role of Lady Macbeth. She smiled when Meera gave her a nod and mouthed that she did really well before she walked on stage. She took a deep breath closing her eyes as she got herself into character and began to act out and recite one of Lady Macbeth's scenes. When she finished she stood straight waiting for a response.
