Waves crash along the shore, negating any brief moments of stillness though the rest of the night is quiet. Night...it looks like night with the stars shining down upon the darkened beach and the moon reflecting serenely into the blue beyond the waves.
And yet it could be any time. Day or night, the stars are always in the sky here.
At the far end of the beach is a small cove containing a cavern. From the outside it is ordinary, not the least bit unique from any other oceanside cave...except that no matter how high the tide goes, it never reaches more than a couple of inches into the entrance of the cave. Almost as though an invisible barrier stops it, the waves end there and seem to go completely around it.
If one should step onto the beach a path through the waves forms, small marble stepping stones each shaped like a many pointed star and leading to the cavern. A warmth comes from within, negating the cold of the evening shore. Should one enter the cavern they will find themselves in a home. It's a modest two bedroom affair, nothing grand or rich about it and all decorated in shades of blue, purple, silver, gold, and grey.
It is here that I make my home. I am X, and this is my cove. Please, feel free to come on in and spend time with me. I love company. Though I am shy, I warm up quickly enough.

There's a faint pitter-patter of feet, heels just barely touching the floor of the cave, almost as if the person is half-floating as they stride.
The faint splash of water sounds with every hit, but nothing more then a gentle lapping.
"X!" Volt cried, running up and hugging her friend. "It's been so long but I found you!"
She nuzzled her shoulder in an embarrassing display, but that's just how Volt was sometimes. Especially with anons...they were like superheroes after all.
Plus, she didn't want to admit it, but she kind of got lost about half a dozen times looking for the cave...

"Volt!" The starry woman's voice floated in the kind of exclamation it rarely showed but she gladly hugged her friend back. "I'm so glad you could make it! I hope you didn't have too much trouble finding the place." Once again she wondered if perhaps she hadn't taken up residence in a bit more...traditional home. With a smile she gestured to her humble sitting room. "Have a seat! Would you like some tea? How have you been!?" The questions poured out perhaps faster than intended in her enthusiasm.

"Who me?" Volt dismissed casually. "Naw, I was fine~ Came right here~" Even though it was quite, in fact, the opposite. Though to be fair Volt was in the habit of getting lost constantly. "I like your lair here! A cave! Why didn't I think of that?" Volt was a huge fan of the unique. It was this fascination, among others, that kept her returning to Gaia, much to her parents' chagrin. Gaians always had such innovative ideas...not like the elementals up in the Cloud Kingdom. YAWN. She came in and took a seat, smiling ear to ear. "Tea would be nice, thanks. Or some soda if you have it."

After much time travelling and that half hour he had spent wandering around at the shore trying to find the cove in the dark (he intended on hinting to X about perhaps some signage or even some lights to direct any would-be guests) Prince Xavier arrived.
"X, darling." The brunette said, greeting her like the old friend she was with a warm hug and kiss to the cheek. He was always captivated by her shimmering skin, the stars and planets it resembled seemed to move of their own accord and he found himself imagining each one of them as different worlds with their own civilisations roaming around her body.
"May I suggest a sign, or perhaps some lights along the beach to prevent visitors from losing their way?" He half-teased, "How are you doing? You look well."

X grinned ear to ear as she watched Volt study her little home. At the blue-haired woman's suggestion she danced to the little kitchen nook and opened the fridge. "Of course! Let's see...I've got rootbeer, Pepsi...sprite...and I think some Mountain Dew back here somewhere-..."
The starry skinned woman was cut off by a warm friendly hug and turned to see the rose prince himself there in her home. "P-Prince!" She exclaimed with wide eyes. "I...Uh you're right. I should." She bowed respectfully and smiled once more now that the shock had worn off. "I'm glad you found your way here! would you like a drink? I trust you're familiar with my friend here?" She gestured to Volt with a smile. All the words had been said rather fast, a habit from her past nervousness around the royal man.
He truly was friendly and had always been good to her. Perhaps it was his position or the awe she'd always felt for the one who'd introduced her to the group of friends she so cherished now. Either way, she hadn't lost all her shyness with him.

A slight scrabbling on the outside of her cave alerted her and X looked up with wide eyes. Rabbits...green rabbits were attempting to breach her home!
"G-Grunnies!?" She gasped and turned to Volt and the Prince. "There...are grunnies...we...c'mon!" With that she ran from the cave, knowing that they'd make their way to safe places as well.
