Ari stood idle in the hallway. The doors of Music room Three a few yards away. At first she wanted to go in, to see everybody's smiles and sit under the warm lights. She though that maybe it would help... But being surrounded by so much at once can and had taken it's toll on the elf. She wasn't used to this. She had jumped into too much before she was ready. Now the Silence was taking advantage of her anxious mind, and threatend to take her back. "I can't go in there right now... But I can't go back either." Silently shivering she took some steps backwards, Starting to consider being alone again, rather than Overwhelmed...

It was paired with soft footfalls that indicated a long stride, that suddenly stopped with recognition. "Ah, Miss Arillena." Kyouya had paused just a few feet from her. He'd clearly been headed towards the music room himself. "Is something the matter?" he asked, glancing at the closed double doors. He'd seen those few steps backwards -- and recalled that she'd seemed a bit shy when he'd met her. Perhaps she was intimidated by going in alone?

Ari jumped in surprise at a voice suddenly speaking to her, she hadn't heard anyone approach. She looked up after recognizing who it was, "Oh! h-Hello.. Kyouya.." She tried to say without her voice shaking. Ari followed his glance to the doors and replied to his question by taking a small involuntary step back. The ringing in her head taunting her, she found her voice and softly spoke "I- I'm o-okay... I just-.." liar...How could she explain? Part of her wanted to turn and run, but another kept her rooted on the spot. She looked back up at Kyouya, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. Ding Another jab from the roaring silence. She didn't know what to do... If she tried to go in surrounded by so much at once, she'd surely burst. And now she was burdening yet another...

I didn't mean to startle you." Perhaps on another day, Kyouya would have meant to -- he did have a reputation for being on hand at the most uncanny moments, and he did put some effort into maintaining that reputation. But no, today he had simply been headed for the music room. The tension he read in her face was nearly unbearable. He wondered how she was holding it inside, and what was causing it, but sensed that pushing her was a dangerous choice. He would have to be very cautious. He decided that comfort was the better choice -- and letting her look him more in the eye, rather than up at him, might set her more at ease. He crossed the hall and settled into the window seat on the far side away from the host club, and gestured her over to sit with him if she wanted. "You just ...?" he prompted gently.

Glad to have a reason to move in the opposite direction of where the noise was, Ari slowly followed Kyouya to the Window. The Anxious Tension in her bones shivered when she felt cool air rising off the glass. She sat down, her mind furiously trying to organize everything into words. She almost didn't hear what Kyouya said, but His eyes we're waiting for her to speak. After a few moments she whispered, "I- I don't know why this keeps Happening..." A cruel voice started laughing in her mind Stop.... Her voice's volume raised slightly. "I-It's like I'm not used to.. to being around... people." She recalled the days when this started, After the Color faded from her eyes. There was No one to talk to except her own shadow and the Quiet taunts that lived inside. As her voice Continued shaking, Ari felt her eyes burn as she held back tears. I am not going to cry... "I th-thought that trying to- to be around others... w-would make... Make the Silence.. go away.." Subconciously forgeting where she was she began to answer the Taunts out loud. Look at you, Bothering people again.. "No, I'm not..." Go back where it's quiet... "I can't..." Ari hugged her kness to her chest. Hahaha~"Bí ciúin. Bí ciúin!" She Whispered. Arillena Suddenly Ari snapped out of it and realized she was crying... She shook her head repeating, "I'm Sorry... I'm Sorry," To Kyouya. The Elf had no intention of Burdening anyone but herself with these anxiety driven hallucinations.

No, she's definitely not all right, Kyouya decided, that calm, detached professionalism coming to the forefront. Perhaps too much stress? It wasn't like he didn't know people who talked to themselves sometimes, though whatever it was, she seemed to be taking it very hard. "Iie, it's all right," he said, and pulled a black silk handkerchief from inside his blazer, handing it to her. "No need to apologize. Are you sure nothing's the matter?" he asked, with polite concern.

It was clear now that something was the matter, and Ari knew there was no point in trying to keep it all in this time. She steadied her voice and spoke softly, but clearly. "I wasn't always like this." She explained. "Everywhere I went and everyone i talked to, there was always light and laughter." As Ari recalled everything, she would use Kyouya's Handkerchief to catch her remaining tears. "But... Something happened with the people I spent the most time with. One by one, they went away... It wasn't long before I was... I was..." All alone "I tried to find new people to be with, other faces to smile at... But i became distant... Even the color drained out of my eyes." She shivered slightly, remembering. "Somehow i managed to lock myself away into my own silent imagination. And the silence there took control..." She turned her head to face Kyouya, her grey eyes lined with tears that almost reflected gold. "Have you ever listened to absolute quiet? How it roars and rings at a solemn tone, its deafening..." And i've never told anyone before..."Then I came here, and met you and so many others. You are all so kind, and cheerful..." Ari sighed, "At first i was nervous... But recently, i became afraid. The problem is, i don't know why..."

"It's difficult to say; silence is easily broken by the smallest of sounds. I certainly don't think I've experienced something like that for extended periods." Though he might, underneath, understand what it was to be lonely. He studied her, mulling over her words. "I am no psychiatrist, but my thought is that you are afraid because your people went away and you grew distant and alone once. Now you are faced with the possibility that it could happen again. I suppose the question is: is it worth it to you to find out?"

Ari faced forward, Kyouya's word's Echoed in her mind. Was she afraid of losing her new friends? By Fearing Lonliness... Was she bringing it upon herself? You Understand now, Don't you? Ari Did Understand. Her fear had been feeding the Silence in her mind all this time. If She could only... Ari Smiled and Closed her eyes. "Thank You Kyouya," She said Softly. Her Spirit Starting to rise out of the Shadows. She Looked back at him greatfully, "Anywhere else I could of figured this out would have been Too Chaotic..." At least at the Time. She started Remembering how Hyper she could become... "Now That I understand how I Became this way... I should start becoming my old self again..." Oh Wait.."That's right... No one I've met here knew me before I became so Distant..." She thought outloud. She turned to Kyouya, Her eyes Noticably Brighter than Before. Ari Felt her cheeks blush and She timidly looked away again, this time Smiling. "I might Just have to Meet Everyone again. Without Being afraid..." Could she do that? Where would she start? ((I hope Spontaneous Eye Color Change doesn't cross the, Little to No magic rule. If It Does Then Uh.. What once fed the Silence now Kept it locked away. She knew it would never leave her completely, But It was Definitely worth finding out if it were possible. Her heart Pounded, She wasn't Anxious... So what was The cause this time? Eagerness? The Elf ignored her faint blushing and Smiled again At Kyouya. "Sounds Fun~" She Chirped Excitedly.

He wouldn't still be doing it if it wasn't fun, not that he'd admit that. He tucked her hand into the crook of his arm and escorted her across the hall. Perhaps an extravagant gesture on his part -- especially for one known for minimalism -- but it seemed appropriate. "After you, Miss Arillena," he said, and he opened the door for her, to allow her to be the first through that delicate swirl of rose petals.
