Hallooooo! And welcome to my little game. I am your host NovaCracker and this is a simple fun way to win a lot of pretty pony for relatively little to no effort!-- Unless you really want to put out the effort in which case, you know, go for it! I like seeing people put that kind of thing out. smile What we have here is a short little game for the sake of brevity, and to get the party started. "Game? What kind of game? Whatchu thinkin'?" you might ask. Music! Surprisingly (Or Unsurprisingly) I'm actually a fan of music, especially rock, pop, even instrumental and so forth. That's where these ponies came from! So for your listening pleasure grab your playlist and curl up with your Googles, because this is a fun trivia game. There are four rounds and the winner of each round will win a pony from the pot of their choice! The questions were carefully handcrafted. Similarly, some questions may be easy, or tricksy. Trivia not your thing? I'm also rolling for a fifth pony, that troublemaker up there . GET DOWN FROM THERE! Round 1 - 12:00pm EST - 1:00pm EST
Round 2 - 1:30pm EST - 2:30pm EST!
Round 3 - 3:00pmEST - 4:00pm EST
Round 4 - 5:30pmEST - 6:30pmEST1. Metal Pony1. Such Great Heights - Won in round one! 3. Hello Seattle4. THE PROTOPONY - Won in round 2! RAFFLE - "Calamity"

RULES
1. This counts as your Monthly Freebie! So choose a ponee wisely. 2. No proxies! Sorry, but to win you need to post for yourself. 3. Please be good sports. This is all fun and games and fighting makes me a sad Nova. 4. Please remember the header when answering. Please, please, please. 5. Trivia is based on things I've picked up, so if I have a wonky answer, or something, feel free to poke me when the answer sheet goes up. There's a pile of trout in the corner for this purpose. 6. I really, really hope you have fun.

DETAILS!
This will go four rounds, with a winner picked every round. There are four rounds with 10 questions each about music, musicians, or similar, and it can be any genre and may include some obscure things or something painfully obvious. All questions are about real bands or musicians... Yeah, even those guys on Overclocked Remix.
At the end of a round, a winner is chosen based on how many questions they got right. If there is a tie, a winner will be rolled from the pool of people! If nobody gets any guesses right I'll roll from everyone anyhow.
There is a bonus question (Or two if I feel creative) per round that are Essay form instead of Multiple-Choice. You can get extra points based on your answer. These bonus questions change per round.
At the end, those whom did not win a Pony will be thrown into a pt and rolled to win the fifth pony - so if you don't win a round, you still have a chance at a pony!

BONUS ROUND!: While I am fond of a number of bands and artists, with many, many songs, I'm going to have to admit that right now The Protomen does hold the top spot. Why? Well, besides the fact that they do have really amazing music, it's amazing to see a bunch of people who are as geeky as me being so talented and successful! As for favorite songs, I have three. The Stand, Keep Quiet, and The Hounds. Mmmm. Protomusic.

Round 1 boils down to Bonus points apparently.
Redbud-Tree squeaked out will full correct answers, and 1 point for the Bonus quesion! A tight second and praise go to CitrusCupcake and Revel1984 for tying! Now, for the answers. Next post: Round two!
And this is why I say people should correct me. Which means time to roll between folks.
1. Which country singer is known for singing 'Friends in Low Places'? C) Garth Brooks
Other Garth Brooks songs include "The Thunder Rolls" and "The Dance".
2. Who is the main singer for the band "The Protomen"? D) Raul Panther Panther is the front singer for the band, although TURBOLOVER does perform for the band as the character Doctor Wily in their gritty Megaman Rock Opera, and The Gambler fills in the female roles in concerts. Reanimator is best known as the band drummer... And for climbing on freakin' everything. A common cry is "Get Down from there Reanimator!"
3. Who sings "Holly Jolly Christmas" in the Rankin-Bass production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? B) Burl Ives
Burl Ives was an acclaimed actor and singer back in his day and did more than simply Christmas fare. He is in the movie however as the Snowman.
4. Axl Rose is the main singer for what Metal band? B) Guns 'n' Roses
Axl Rose actually had no hand in the band's appearance in Guitar Hero III, nor has he been particularly active in recent yeears. That honour goes to the guitarist, Slash, who left the band with multiple other members in the 90's. Slash now works his own projects.
5. Alanis Morissete is known for what song? C) Ironic
Nothing in the song "Ironic" is actually ironic. Just really bad luck.
6. "Candle in the Wind" was written for which famous person, and modified for which other famous person? D) Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana
Elton John rewrote Candle in the Wind after the death of Princess Diana in france. In the song, she's referred to as England's rose. However, only the original version seems to be played on radio.
7. This Japanese performer is able to sing fluently in Japanese and English. D) Utada Hikaru
I acknowledge the other singers may sing in English! However, Utada Hikaru sings both the Japanese and English versions of her songs for the Kingdom Hearts series.
8. The following band is NOT a Gothic band. D) Whitesnake
Bauhouse is best known for their song "Bela Lugosi is dead". Whitesnake is not considered Gothic Rock, but they did write a power ballad, called "Here I Go Again"
9. Which of these is not a Beatles song? B) Band on the Run
'Band on the Run' was, however, written by former Beatle Paul McCartney and performed with his band Wings. Paul McCartney has a surprising connection to the artist Linda Ronstadt-- Paul McCartney owns a ranch near Tucson Arizona. Lind Ronstadt's family used to have influence in Tucson and there is a bus center downtown called the Ronstadt Center. I only wish I was joking.
10) "The Last Farewell" is sung by which singer? A) Roger Whittaker
Roger Whittaker has sung many other songs, including a cover of "Wind Beneath my Wings". The most famous cover of "Wind Beneath my Wings" however, is by Bette Midler.
