A hundred years in the future, technology has taken quite a few leaps and bounds, yet energy restraints still exist; when scientists find a crystalline egg with energy readings they have never seen before, will they convert it into a steady energy source or do something else with it?

How will they react... when the egg reveals there is something inside it that is quite intelligent?

Ren stared at the two and a half foot diameter egg, which pulsed slightly with veins of copper, gold, crimson, and violet. His slate gray eyes shifted to his father and uncle, both of whom he respected, but didn't trust. He wore navy blue body armor on his arms from the shoulders down and legs from mid thigh down, which unfortunately were a permanent part of him after an accident that had happened in another laboratory. His dark silvery hair seemed to glow under the fluorescent lights. He wasn't surprised to see the technicians place the egg into a case designed to check to see if it was solid crystal or something else. I have a feeling it's just as it appears to be: an egg of crystalline gemstones with a dense and resistant shell... what could be within it, however, is the real mystery, he thought.

Mizuko sighed as she kept herself hidden inside the egg, she wasn't even a hatching and here she was, curled up in a small ball inside the egg. very carefully she began to rock herself back and forth inside, making small chitterlings noises to see if the men would leave

Ren frowned as he took a couple of steps towards the egg as it shifted slightly. He could hear slight noises coming from either within the egg or perhaps something near the egg as the scanner started scanning the egg. His eyes narrowed slightly, flickering a brilliant glowing golden for a split second before reverting to the natural slate gray color.

Mizuko sensed the people haven't moved yet and sighed as he gently pressed against the edge of it and smiled as the egg began to crack. she didn't know why but she felt this unknown sense of comfort, as if someone was seeing her inside. i am the last one of my kind. so maybe i could come out she thought as she sighed softly

Ren saw the egg crack and his eyes widened slightly, shifting his weight before he pushed off in a short leap, managing to deflect what seemed to be a grappling claw attached to a bio-wire from grabbing and dragging away the egg. He knew most of those in the labs had no weapons, but he'd modified his cybernetic parts with a few upgrades and knew exactly how to use them. He shifted his wrist as the plate atop his forearm rose half an inch, releasing two narrow six inch blades of bluish white energy.

"Hello." she said her voice weak and a bit raspy as she laid their, even though she looked around 19 or 20 year old. she had the body of a teenager, with dark red eyes and golden hair that had the illusion of flames

Ren cocked his head, glancing over his shoulder as he looked at the beautiful young woman. "Hey," he said as he deflected a couple of plasma bullets and kicked a droid hard in the abdomen, sending it plummeting the 54 stories to the ground. He frowned slightly as he saw the eye logo with the planet in the center in place of the iris and pupil. SIN; they've been a thorn in the United Military for several years and are known terrorists, he thought. He ignored the shocked looks that his uncle and father were giving him and the girl who had been within the egg.

"Is something the matter." she said she was sort of holding her stomach as if she was in a lot of pain and sighed as the egg finally cracked revealing the feathers and the wings that were crammed inside the egg, she sort of laid their on the table as the machine probbed and beeped measuring her heart rate

Ren shifted his weight as he half turned to face the girl. "It seems that there are others that wanted your egg... and possibly you as well," he said, not seeing the cyborg soldier lifting the military grade plasma taser at his back and firing. He let out a strangled yell as the electrical energy surged through his body, the plasma claws flickering and disabling themselves before the small opening sealed itself on the top of his forearm as he dropped to his knees. He heard the heavy boots clank to the floor as he panted, feeling his muscles tensing rapidly and uncontrollably due to the stray electricity that danced over his visible skin as well as the severe burn that the weapon had caused on his back and shoulders.

Yuuko opened her eyes and softly fluttered over at him and rested her wings tenderly against him. healing him and sighed as she glanced down at him, her wings soothing the electricity that ran through his body and helped him sit up. and glared at the men, her eyes flashing a couple times

Ren blinked as the pain swiftly ceased, replaced with a mild warmth as the girl helped him sit up. He winced slightly as his tense muscles protested his movements, but stood shakily. He wasn't surprised when the soldier pointed the weapon at him again, but he didn't give the soldier the chance to fire, instead catching around the abdomen and using the taller soldier's weight against him as he leaned backwards, slamming his head and shoulders into the floor with a loud crunch before he shifted his grip and twisted, hurling the soldier into his buddy that was about to swing in on another rope and sending both into the air and the drop far below. He saw the SIN ship swiftly pull away and take off with several United Military ships in pursuit.
