I've been going through some things lately. I'm on the pill, but I've been bleeding through the whole last week of pills, now I'm on the pills for my period and I'm still bleeding. It's been not a light period, but not a heavy one either. Pretty much a medium. Is stress causing it?

Breakthrough bleeding is pretty common on the pill, especially in the first three months that you're on it or if you skipped any pills. And yes, it can also be due to stress. The bleeding is usually not something to worry too much about unless it lasts a long time, happens a few months in a row, or is really heavy. But it's definitely something you should tell your doctor about so they can make a note of it and keep an eye on it.

I had the exact same thing for months. Turns out my body just wasn't reacting well to the particular pill I was on, even though I'd been on it for years, something must've changed. I went and saw a gynecologist who performed a bunch of tests and put me on a stronger pill and an anti-bleeding agent. Bleeding stopped within a week (hasn't reoccurred since) and all the tests came back normal 3nodding
