There are snow lined trails stretching throughout most of the Northern Region of Novalius that connect all individual destinations.
Getting lost while following the trails isn't likely but it has happened; a few dead ends have been made for giggles but if you backtrack you'll likely find a landmark or place within time.
Make sure you keep warm while walking and stay wary during the dark hours, some beasties like to travel out during the night and may or may not be very pleased to see you.
