[ Premise/Foreword ]

Dark spruce forest frowned on either side the frozen waterway. The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean towards each other for comfort; as the now lifeless chief, RedBear, was carried to to the tribe's hollowed ground.

The great Dragon lords, that once protected the tribe, had fled the land; leaving in their wake only sorrow and death. As the sun bursts over the horizon for the final day of light, an uneasy fear sweeps over the tribe, fear of living though the darkness without RedBear.

[Game plot/ idea]

In honor of winter coming, and Halloween, I pose a game idea; part horror and survival. The game will be taking place in an area much like Alaska, Northern Canada, and other locations close to the poles. In which, it is a single winter night for months at a time. So, I would suggest packing your longjohns and a lamp... it is going to be a long night...(sorry, couldn't help it...)

This game will be small, I will be accepting only 4 people.

Races: Nothing with Darkvision, sorry half of fear is not seeing what is coming.
Ability Scores*: 3d6 Drop lowest and add 6, do this 6 times

Hit Points: 7 dice for a medium sized character, 6 for a small, 8 for a large... each level following creation. the player rolls one hit dice for their class and may replace one of the older dice rolls, After replacing they add their constitution modifier to HP. Example: 3333333, on new level player rolled 6, his new dice look like 3333336.
Alignments: Open
Pantheon: None
Backgrounds: Wanted, and might be used in game, but not needed.

[ House/Optional Rules ]

1] There are no Gods, such their are no Clerics, Oracles, Paladins.
2] Unless if Pazio created something like it, in which case you must take that one; Feel free to Wizards material. If you pick a 3.5 class, you can pick two of the following; A.) Increase HD size B.) bonus feats as gain by a 3.5 fighter, but you aren't a fighter so these can't be fighter feats. C.) suggest something, that isn't an increased BAB.

Oh... something That I forgot, stealing from 4e, when you do your level 4 stat adjustments... it is plus 2 to one stat or plus 1 to two stats

I must remember the three rules of being part of a horror campaign.

1. Cant make a character so vile it scares the main bad guys

2. Cant make a super funny character to ruin the mood

3. Cant combine the two

Your rules say that you cant pick a race with dark vision. Can we have a character with a ability to temporarily gain dark vision?
