So, I'm curious. How many of you have had the chance to try this one out?

I think I've fallen in love. This game is just visually stunning. I'm currently sharing an account with my roommate, so I'm getting to see all of his stuff too as he plays. I'm playing a Norn engineer, and he's been playing a few Sylvari toons. That forest is absolutely gorgeous. o_o

I've been thinking about picking it up. Art is always what gets me when it comes to games, and so far it's rarely lied to me. I mostly bought Reckoning because it is a gorgeous game. i mean, and Faeries, but, still. The visuals were astounding and that's mostly what sold it to me. I have yet to be disappointed by it.

The first Guild Wars kind of sucked, I thought, but this looks so good. if I pick it up, definitely being a Mesmer. Confuse everyone!

Whatever happened to people using avatar or character? :[

I might pick up GW2 eventually, but I'm looking at Torchlight 2 and doing the Path of Exile closed beta.

I <3 my action rpgs.

Instead of GW2 though, I've been doing Borderlands 2, sometimes with Shram. UK prices are fantastic for games. Sweet heavens.

Wut wut wut?

Seriously though, do you mean about the art style in the cutscenes? Because I'm getting annoyed with the current obsession with using paintings and animating them instead of 3D objects. I feel uncomfortable with the pseudo-3D look, where everything is flat but still moves like it's 3D.

I believe we're at an undiscovered level of confusion here. Hahahaha.

Aesthetically, the game is absolutely beautiful. The landscapes are so much more interesting than GW1, everything is much grander in scale and cities actually feel like cities, not a collection of buildings. Lion's Arch is HUGE now, far bigger than Ascalon ever was.

Control wise, I'm still getting use to it. A lot of habits from GW1 will not die off. In GW1 you could tab target then press space to attack. I still press space to attack, forgetting it's actually jump now.

The combat system is heaps better than in the original, you can actually move whilst attacking, instead of just standing there and swinging away with your sword or whatever. The ability to dodge has saved my character from certain death too, so that's a plus.

The storyline approach to the game is better, it's not all in the format of fetch and carry quests, or slaughter quests. So far (15th level Human), about half of what I've done has been conversational and meetings, not just slaughtering the s**t out of everything.

I can't recommend it highly enough, the game is bloody fantastic.

You know, it's strange. I really really love it, but I don't ever play it.
