I just spent 1 week,in 101 degree heat, with no Electric or Water eek There was this semi rouge storm that blew through ,knocking every tree in the state on to de power lines stressed They say over 300,000 didnt have any power. To make the situation even worse ..the water company was having issues as well,so there was no running water either gonk
Soo..The good news is...my workplace didnt have any power,so I got a week vacation forThe 4th Of July rofl
I also got to sharpen my survival instincts,I almost didnt want the power to come back on..but then i started thinking about My awesome guild and Gaia..and i reconsidered very quickly mrgreen
Its time like these..that really make you stop and think about how spoiled we are...sadly most people dont know the first thing about living off the land..nor what they should do to stay alive.
Think about what YOU would do with no power...no running water...Who would you surround yourself by..where would you go...and how long do you think you could survive?
Anyway if was fun..but Im glad to be back online..and enjoying the hard work of Benjamin Franklin
I love to hear Horror stories if you experienced this power outage as well Edit So mother nature struck again.. eek My power was restored on Friday morning ...and Sunday night another storm rolled through. It only lasted an hour but the winds were so strong(60mph) it knocked the electric out again.. gonk So mark my words on this 10th day of July 2012 Im going to make an electric generating wheel so that way me and my dogs can get some exercise,as I power my laptop rofl

The longest I went without electricity was a few hours.
However my aunt use to live in a poor part of Kentucky and I would stay 3 months with her during the summer
They had no running water, the nearest place to get food was 2 hours away but its not like they had money for food,no air conditioner and we didn't really have a car either. Anyways, from that I learned how to survive. I say I can go at least a month hunting and getting water. The hard part would be trying not to die from heat. It never seemed that hot there.
I would never want to live like that, but if I had to I could make it happen

Will I think we have all heard about the hurricanes that screwed up New Orleans. They came here first most of them any way. (I live in Florida) After one storm Willma I don't know if I even spelled its name right. Most of my area had no power for about two-weeks. It sucked because after the hurricane hit we had a cold front it got in the 40's (yes its not that cold but for us born and raised in south Florida it can be pretty bad) with no heat or hot water. I was already sick so I didn't take a bath as not to make my cold worse so I was very stinky xD This was back in o5 how I went that long with out a shower I don't know

After the tornadoes, and blizzard in 05 we had no power for close to a month, thankfully it was only a week in winter, about 3 in the summer, which wasn't too bad.

I have gone without electricity for a few days once. I was with my grandparents, and they new exactly what to do...and they had a generator thing...so basically, we had electricity when we didn't have electricity. We just had to use it very sparingly...
