My current book is Shadow and Betrayal, by Daniel Abraham. Its an omnibus of the first two books of the Long Price Quartet, and I'm quite enjoying it! It has a different twist to its magic, an elegantly detailed world, and complex characters.

So tell me what you're reading, and how it is so far!

Edit: Feel free to mention manga or comics, or even Word-A-Day calendars! biggrin

I haven't started reading anything this summer yet...I do want to continue reading Rick Riordon's books though. They may be children books but Mythology has always interested me.

I haven't read those yet, but after you're done, you should check out Orphans of Chaos by John C. Wright.

Escape From Camp 14

It's about a North Korean guy who was born into a political camp, and escapes. He is the only person born into a political camp to survive, and it's quite interesting, because we both had the same reaction to America.
But then it makes me depressed to read it because I'm Korean.
Either way it's a very touching book.

But for manga I just finshed Tail of the Moon series. 4laugh

Escape From Camp 14 - Sounds interesting, the only books I've read along those lines are Farewell to Mananzar and Briar Rose, off the top of my head.

Tail of the Moon - I'm all in Fairy Tail at the moment, what's Tail of the Moon about?

Fifty Shades of Gray? I find it amusing to ready most of the time. They are making it a movie so I wanted to read it before they start casting the roles.

It's in ancient Japan, and it's about ninjas. The main character is this really awesome girl who has her hair cut short, and is adorkable! If you are feeling down, read the series and feel cheery again yum_puddi

Honestly, I still read The Bearnstein Bears sometimes. I consider no book a children's book, unless they are those infant books. ><

I'm trying to suffer through the remainder of Plains of Passage by Jean M. Auel.
Hopefully I'll be able to finish it before Two Graves (Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child) comes out because if I don't, it will be left to collect dust on my shelf for another year.
