I'm not looking for any specific piece of art to be critiqued. Just tell me what you looked at and what you think should be fixed.

Thank you.

Overall, work on your anatomy and colouring quality (no visible lines dividing where you picked up the pencil and then started in another place/overlaps that cause uneven areas). I would recommend studying from life/real humans rather than anime, while anime is easier to pick up and easy to duplicate it is useful to have naturalistic foundations. Even if you do want to draw anime/manga styles you will need to know anatomy so you know how to stylize certain parts of the body.

Also, a general note for scanned/photographed images, try to get a clearer balance of white background. (it seems like most of your drawing is done on plain white paper - don't use lined paper!) If you can make sure that you either correct in Photoshop/Gimp/other program or get a clearer scan/photo so that you don't have the white in the middle of the image while the edges are darkened/black. You want a uniform background throughout the image if it is plain white.

And just keep practicing! It is good to ask for critique and learn what you can improve, then take it and keep drawing. Hope this helped! ^^

Hello Uta : )

You've got some really nice drawings there. My favorite is your koi fish. I really love all the details you put into that drawing. Acctually I think if you incorporated the same level of details into your other drawings it could make your nice drawings even better. Adding paterns through out an entier dress or even adding a nice detailed background in the back could really make your drawings stand out more. : )

I also think your general anatory for the head is good. The mouth, nose, eyes (beautifully coloured by the way the colour choice really makes there eyes stand out) are all generaly well placed. I think if you worked a little bit more on your human anatomy, how arms fold or general body preportions could help you in the long run, and make your drawings even more impressive.

So far I think your off to a great start : ) I can't wait to see more from you in the future!

I got a scanner about a month ago. So all of my pictures are getting scanned soon.

Thank you both for the critiques!

Try adding shading and highlights to your drawings. There all pretty one shadded, adding different shades would definatley help liven things up.
