Oh, well, we'll have to see about that.
I am a tragically terrible poet.

Taht doesnt matter. Its what comes from the heart. A simple paragraph can be considered poetry if its from the heart and is beautiful. I have faith in u that u can write something wonderful!

Redwall poems! Whee! blaugh I'm more of a short-story person myself, but I'm working on a song for the clan. I do have a rather mushy ballad that centers around two of my other Redwall RP chars. redface Had to write one of those for an English project. razz

Rannsong I used to write short stories, but somehow they ended up more poem than story... sweatdrop Mushy Ballads rule!!! Im not that good at them right now, but im improving. I would really like to read some of your work. And more than 1/2 of my stuff was written for english or my creative writing class. Heh; same here. You should see my peom about a Twinkie xd I get a bad taste in my mouth just thinking about it. xp Well, if you'd like. smile This one requires a bit of explaining, though. This was based on an actual happening in a Redwall chat room between one of my characters, a fox named Jukes, and a character named Teslar *cough* God-moder! *cough* razz (Never did find out what species that dingaling was). Vitani is his mate, an orange fox, also one of my characters. Commence with the mushy-ness! blaugh :
Vitani, Vitani
Vitani, Vitani Every day I wait And when you come to talk to me I get into a cheery state
The sunshine in your smile Birdsong in your talk The breezes' soft rustle As beside me you walk
Vitani, Vitani Refreshing as rain I'll be sure no evil Befalls you again
I will never forget That one fateful night How normal it started So merry and bright
Vitani, Vitani My only and one May you live to bear many A daughter and son
You were there talking As innocent as ever When the foe entered in Thinking himself clever
Vitani, Vitani With your fur like fire The only girl I will ever desire
He bribed me to fight At once I said no Then evilly twinkle Did the eyes of the foe
Vitani, Vitani Your face ever fair The colors of sunset Entwined in your hair
He produced a dagger Which he promptly threw Not aiming for me But directly at you!
Vitani, Vitani When your name I speak My insides melt And my knees grow weak
I leaped up at once Anger hot in my eyes Boring into the one Whom I still now despise
Vitani, Vitani So gentle and sweet I'd be better off dead Then to you never meet
We fought long and hard Four hours at least But he was an experienced Merciless beast
Vitani, Vitani Your tender young years Showed every time you Wet my chest with your tears
When at least we receded We stood eye to eye He was wounded sorely But not half bad as I
Vitani, Vitani So faithful and true I made sure no harm Came to sweet tender you
My blood loss was great I staggered outside And be it not for you There I would have died
Vitani, Vitani Your eyes were so filled With the diamond-like tears That upon me you spilled
You drug me away From the cold battlefield And finally here So's I could get healed
Vitani, Vitani My angel of grace All that ails me is gone When I see your face
The healer just said I may not live And should I not This last note I give
Vitani, Vitani So precious your life I'll love you always I'm so glad you're my wife.
Mushiness ended. xp

-This is one I wrote for Rannsong, not too long ago.-
"The Ballad of Bryon" -A poem of Redwall by Brian Baker
Off the road a little ways, Within Mossflower Glade, I gaze upon my secret love, A lovely otter-maid.
There she stands against a tree, Snoozing standing up. And all the while I take in scents Of lilac and buttercup.
I approach her like a silent ghost, And hope not to disturb her. For if she knew my love lived on My presence might perturb her.
Hesitantly, I brush my paw Against her rosey face. I need to make this last move quick To not feel out of place.
I brings my lips to meet her own In one last forbidden kiss, And then I go to wander on, Though her smile I shall miss.
I worry not about my tears, Though I taste them, bitter-sweet. If fate allows, then once again, In Mossflower Glade we'll meet.
~Dedicated to Rann Songbreeze, whom I once loved very dearly. You broke my heart before, but I still care for you very much as a friend and I'll always be here to support you!~
(I hope you enjoyed reading this poem. I know I enjoyed writing it.)

Not to be a nit-picker, but can we try to keep the netspeak to a minimum, please? We'd prefer people not to use it at all in the guild, but it wouldn't bother us too much in OOC or discussion threads.
However, this is a literary-based thread you started, and as such should be written in with a tad more formality.
Sorry if I sound like I have a stick up my butt, I hope you understand.
Thanks.
