Since they broke their own privacy terms and installed a third party program (Easybits GO) without consent. It is happening to a lot of Skype users. There is a LOT to do to remove it from your computer.
Kill the Easybits GO process in task manager Skype > Tools > Options > Advanced > uncheck the start crap Uninstall Easybits GO via control panel (its not really uninstalled yet) Win 7 users go to C razz rogram Data/Easybits GO and delete the folder. Open regedit and delete the Easybits keys under HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Easybits GO
Reboot
Scan for malware/viruses

In Windows 7 I found it hiding in App Data, named GO. Probably got in there in the last Skype update.

Too much trouble for me to find it. I'll just stop using it, and use another IM like MSN or yahoo.

That kinda sounds like the whole PSN fiasco they just had over at Sony. Damn that bites. Glad I rarely used Skype anyways.

I don't know....so many use Skype, but something just kept me from installing and using it. My husband and I use their competition, Magic Jack; the sound quality is so excellent, my husband uses it as his business line. I've used it for conference calls around the world and it worked brilliantly. So there are viable alternatives to Skype.
