Tell about your shoe experiences! Some people have amazing luck getting shoes while others like myself are driven crazy by it! tell your good and bad and help others. If you need any advice just ask! I am sure someone will know an answer!

For my shoe experience I actually found two pairs of Lolita shoes at a thrift store before I had ever gotten any clothes! I bought them for a couple dollars knowing I would need them in the future! Unfortunately the future came around and I wore them all the time with my coordinations but the heels were to high for my body type. As a tall girl Lolita heels just don't work. From there on I began just wearing ballet flats because they gave the look was going for but then in a Lolita panel they said I should avoid these shoes at all costs and invest in a pair of tea party shoes. Like I had the money for that! I barely pay a dollar for any shoes I buy. I was really happy today when my mom came home and she had a pair of shoes that reminded her of the fashion. They are perfect! Not to much heel for a tall girl but just the right style for a future Lolita!

I think Mary Janes are amazing! I wore them before I got into lolita and I still wear them today well wait no I don't... but that is for fitting reasons not style... I can't wear them anymore because of my forced arches from dance

my experiences are horrible. Its not because i can't find pretty shoes or anything but because of the fact that my feet are so small and narrow. I can never find shoes of any kind. I barely fit size 5. only if im lucky. which is never.

I just bought my first pair of import lolita shoes from Bodyline. I haven't worn them yet, only tried them on in my bedroom. They seem to fit, of course, but that's different from wearing them around all day.

This is where you are lucky. You can buy childrens shoes which work really well for lolita. Plus foriegn sizes run really small. so with foriegn lolita shoes you may luck out

Several years ago, I bought a pair of Sofft shoes, which I still have. They are moderately heeled, with a wide strap like a maryjane, and have flower embellishments on the straps. Since they're leather, they've held up really well.

I also used to have a pair of ivory shoes from payless that I'd wear with outfits, but they hurt my feet and I got bored with them, so I'm on the lookout for a new pair of white shoes.

The other pair of shoes I wore (but also had to get rid of 'cause they were so old that the leather was cracking and tearing) were a round toed, feminine oxford. These shoes from VM are really similar, and if they shipped to the US and came in my size, I'd probably buy a pair.

My advice for finding shoes is to look everywhere. You never know when something may turn up. If you have a friend or family member who likes hunting for bargains or hard to find items, give them some photos of the kind of shoe you're looking for, so they can let you know if they see anything like it.

Oh wait! I forgot about the most awesome pair of shoes I have. They're red rockinghorse shoes from RoseChocolate, and I love them and always get nice comments when I wear them. You don't have to wear them just with Lolita, either, since they are so unique and not frilly. I'm wearing them to a party this weekend since its been so long since I've taken them out of the closet.

I just found out about this amazing UK shoe brand and I'm in love. These heels in particular would look good with some of Victorian Maiden's dresses.

Also, last week I bought a pair of booties at Goodwill that are awfully similar to a pair of Innocent World's shoes from a few years ago. I didn't think about it at the time, but realized it later.

Somehow my luck with shoes depends on the place. I've never bought brand shoes per say. I've had a lot of luck with offbrand stuff from like payless and kohls cause I have tiny feet and can fir into kids shoes.
But the only 2 places I've ordered shoes from so far are Bodyline and Qutieland. I ordered boots from Qutieland almost a year again and I love them. Perfect fit and still going strong.
http://www.qutieland.com/product.php?id=57
But so far I haven't had much luck with bodyline. The first time I ordered black tea party, mary jane type shoes. But instead of measuring my foot like I was supposed to I went and used a shoes sizing converter chart online and unfortunately they came in slightly too big. I can still get away with wearing them and I went to my local shoe maker and added some exra padding to it so it fits better.

The 2nd time I ordered ricking horse shoes with the money I got back from a return form Qutieland because what happened was I ordered hem around Christmas and apparently when the snowstorm hit this winter the last pair they had in the warehouse for me got ruined so I could either wait 3 months for a new pair or get my money back. So I went with the money back optioned and ordered a different pair of red rocking horse shoes from bodyline. But this time I did what I was supposed to and trace my foot on paper and measure it. But this time somehow the shoes came in slightly too small which again was fine because they still pretty much fit but once I worse them to a convention all day two days in a row it started to hurt my pinky toe on my right foot.

So I guess overall I have a had a mixed shoe experience.

I got my rocking horse shoes from Rose Chocolat and they fit perfectly though I was worried they'd be too narrow 'cause my toes are a bit wide. They are more expensive and I debated a long time before placing the order, but they are very well made (and leather, not vinyl, which is a plus in my opinion but be aware that when they say a sole is 'cork' its really a sort of plastic cork and not real cork.) Still, before you order from any company, always do a review search on places, just to double check. Its been a few years since I bought those shoes, and sometimes quality and customer service can change.

I am so excited because I have Bodyline shoes coming in. I had gotten down tto only two pairs of shoes that work for sweet lolita and both hardly get worn
