They're nice, I particularly like the colours you chose for the guy.
I think that since you're going for a cartoony sort of style, more solid, dramatic shades might help to really bring them to life.
Also, a neat trick for checking your anatomy is even: once you've done a sketch, if you're using a computer program, mirror the image - sometimes you'll find that when you put the image the other way round, you'll notice errors you didn't pick up on before.

The lines look a bit shaky, and the guy's eyes, one is up a little more than the other and they are looking two different ways.
I like the girl's hair ^^
