Alright guys the votes are in, and like always we would like to thank the members who submitted work in this months contest : D thanks guys! You all did such wounder full drawings!!!!
And so with out any further ado, in
1st place Kiteyu_Minorii (the amount of details, texturing and creativity in her drawing was really breath taking and original, it really got our attention)
2cd place goes to seven_dead1y_sins (the details and shading were crazy! and excellent use and portrayal of skills. Beautiful technique.)
3rd place... was really tuff, because we had some mix opinions to who should get this place. Ultimately we would have loved to give this prize to 4 members but since theres only one place available we decided to give it to someone who's drawing stood out from the others because it portraid emotions.
3rd place, congradulations to Shiroi Rikune
Again I really would like to take the time to thank you, I really wish I had enough gold to give everyone prizes cause everyone had a little something in there drawing that sparkled. Your all such wonderful and talented artist!
Now just a heads up. This month, were going to try something new. We got some awesome suggestions by Miss Hellosara, which we think would be a good idea, and we'd like to try it out. Were going to try giving this months contest a theme. The theme will be vague enough that it shouldn't restrain most artist and there creativity. And naturally you'd be free to submit drawings you did for commissions, so long as your client approves and the image fits the theme.
Having a theme will also make judging more precises and less subjective, so it should be a win win situation for everybody, but like I said, we'll wait and see how it goes first.
So please stay tooned for the next monthly contest which should be set up with in the next day or two : 3

Welcome to the "Artist and Art collectors paradise" monthly art contest.
What is the contest?
The contest is a way for the guild to show off what our members are capable of. It allows us to show other people who might be interested in joining the guild, just how much talent you guys have.
How do I apply?
To apply, simply fill out the the fallowing form, and attach a drawing that shows off your talent as an artist. There is no specific theme for this months contest, you may submit any drawing so long as the drawing was done by you, and made during the month of March 2011. You may use art you did for commissions however you will need the approval of the client you did the art for (which in most cases I do not think this will be a problem)

YES, if your a photographer, you may submit an awsome photo you took during the month. If your a sculpter you may submit an amazing sculpture you did during the month, and so on. This contest is open to all artistic mediums.
Whats the prize?
-1st place, 300k, plus your image will be displayed in the guild home page for the month of April
-2cd place, 150k
-3rd place, 50k
(do to the results of a voting poll that was set up with in the last week, we've decided to separate the winnings into 3 categories instead of 1, good luck to all our participants : 3 )
When is the end date?
The end date will be March 31st, 8 pm (eastern time zone)
