Kai Chi was telling me in another thread how contacts are very important in pretty much any art field you entered.
Which got me thinking, I didn't see a contact thread stickied in this guild. So why don't we make one? Hell, we could use this as it if we want.
Now I don't want to make this sound super formal, because it isn't. I know a lot of people in here just post art for fun and until I finish college, I am doing that too.
So for most purposes this is more or less just to unite us artist in a form other than just gaia. We only post as much information as we want to. Everything depending on cellphone numbers to facebook pages or deviantart. It all depends on what we want to post and what we want others in this thread to know.
This is seems like a civil and supportive place, so I thought it would be great to take this the next level.
Let me know what you guys think and maybe we can get the ball rolling, or n** it in the bud.

It's an interesting idea, and its always nice to have contacts in a lot of places. Now, my question is, other then providing people with a way to contact you outside of gaia how would you go about organizing this? My personal thoughts on the matter is that we organize it by way of skills. So if you're a photographer,a nd would like to list yourself for that reason you'd get sorted under photography, along with whatever information you'd like to provide. (links to galleries, posible RL commissions ect.) That way its more then just a list of names. Its a list you can actually search to find someone with a specific talent.

That way the people who are interested in similar fields can mingle easier, but it will also allow you to explore other fields you are curious about!

Like any other thread, if lots of other members like the idea and would like it to be made into a sticky, it would be my pleasure to make something up for it : ). I just wanna avoid spamming the stickies if its something not to many people will take an interest towards. So lets just give it some time and see how it develops from here on out k : )

I'll write up a quick form that everyone can fill out. We'll start gathering info now so that when the time comes we can implement it. What do you think about making this a great big resource thread? We can implement links to drawing/editing programs, textures, and resources as well as people with certain skill sets, and have it be a resource hub for all members of the guild.

Theres talk about maybe reopening a subforum that this could go under too now. Its more of just mutterings, but the idea has been presented.
