You love seeing animations? : D How about the real live pencil animations from the animators themselves!!! Check out this website if your interested. Its loaded with pencil animations from the original animators. In some scenes were more than one animator worked on, you can even see the difference in drawing styles from one animator to the next!!! really cool xd

I had a friend who worked for them for a short period of time. I also have an art teacher who worked on several animations with them for quite a few years, and came here to my town to teach art and animation now. 3nodding

yea I wish I could get to that point as well... but I'm not strong enough in 2D unfortunately XD

I'm sure it takes quite the artist. I think anyone could do it if they really stuck to it and did their best for long enough.

yea probably. Learning animations require you to understand a few fundamentals and after you've mastered that well, pretty much anything is possible, your only limited by your imagination after that

I don't know much about computers though and 95% of my art was done by hand on paper. So I don't know how 2D works nowadays with technology

hmmm its a lot easier in my opinion. The old ways of doing it was to put a piece of paper on a light board and draw in all the key frames and inbetweens one by one. It was a long process and harder to check your animations, cause you'd have to flip through all the images really fast.

With todays technology, you can easily see what your animation gives frame by frame at the click of a button, as well as determine how many times you want your drawing to be seen per second. Most smooth 2D animations are done with 24 frames/images per second. So you can see how an animation of only 30 seconds can take up a lot of images about 720 images. And thats with out all the failed attempts as well. Computers make this process more easy to manage in my opinion
