One day, the backyard fills with laughter and joy from a boy and girl. They run around the swings and climb trees as they play tag. At the end of the day, the little girl overhears her parents talking about a serious matter, they say, "Your brother has a learning disability called autism." She stares blankly and confused, but over time she learns the meaning of the word.
Days, months, a couple of years pass by, like rain drops falling from the sky. Summer is near and its hot outside, the family is now at the beach, on vacation . The parents walk over to the life guard and tell them, "Our son here has a handicap. Can you just keep your eye on him to make sure he is ok?" And they reply, "Yes, that is our job you know." Later everyone is having a good time bathing in the sun, eatting juicy watermelon, and playing tag in the ocean. However, the little girl periodically watches her brother carefully to make sure he is okay. Over the next few days the family goes to the beach and repeats their sons situation the lifeguards again and again. However one day is different, as everyone first arrives at the beach, enjoying the nice weather and the cool ocean breeze that gently touches their skin, the boy goes up himself to introduce himself. The boy says, "Hi, my parents want you to watch me extra carefully today because I have a handicap. Can you watch me today?" And the lifeguard says, "Sure, I will watch you." The shocked parents come over to the lifeguard, after overhearing what their son had said, and laugh with joy over what their son has figured out about himself.
Will be continued....
This story idea is based off of my relationship to my brother. My brother has Autism and the beach scenario truely happened, however, it took him several years to repeat what he had been hearing our father tell the lifeguards about watching him. If you want more you'll have to comment ...please!

~continuation~
The next day at the beach again, the little boy decides to make sand castles with his yellow bucket and white shovel. The father walks over to help him make the biggest sand castle of them all. The little girl sees how much fun they are having and joins in. Eventually, a neighboring boy comes over and sees that they have a gigantic castle surrounding a city of little castles. This boy finds it so amazing that he asks to join them. The little girl suggests that she show the new commer the "ropes" of castle building. The boy watches and trys his best to help out. After a few minutes the two of them go to help out the other two.
The new commer comes up with the idea of creating a big seat in the middle that everyone could sit in, so they can look at the castle from all sides. The little boy says, "That would be so cool" and so all the boys start digging. However, the little girl doesn't like the idea and storms away. She is now watching all of them from a distance. The mother walks over from her beach chair to see how everything is going and she sees her daughter sitting by herself. She walks over to see what is wrong and finds out what happened. She tells her daughter, "look how happy your brother is playing with your dad and another boy, you know our family consists mostly girls so this is good for him." The little girl pays close attention to her younger brother, the boy, and her father. She realizes that the whole purpose of her building the castles with them was to make her brother happy. She clearly sees now, that her brother is laughing and smiling as he creates the castles with them. The little girl walks back over and helps in the digging process.
Moments later, the little boy fills up his bucket with some ocean water to make some wet sand. In the processs of doing so a huge wave, out of no where, comes by knocking him over. He losses the bucket! The little boy is so upset because it was his favorite. The little girl saw him fall and goes to help him, however she doesn't understand why he is crying because he has no cuts and he is standing on his own two feet now. She asks, "why do you still cry?" The little brother sobs, "MY BUCKET! My bucket was taken by the ocean!" The little girl looks all around the sand and on the waves but doesn't see the bucket anywhere. She tells her brother that it will be ok we can get you a new one, but the brother will not take that as an answer. She continues to look and everyone else joins in the search too.
A few minutes later, the little girl sees something yellow in the ocean. She runs into the big wave approching and sees that it is the bucket, but she can't quite reach it. She misses it and looks all over again, a wave comes pushing the bucket closer to her. She grabs the bucket, only to find that she deeper in the water than she thought and nearly trips. She swims as fast as she can to get out of the water, when another wave comes behind her and helps her get back to everyone. Her face is in the sand now, so she pushes her self up and runs to her brother with the bucket in her hands. She yells, "I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT!" The brother wipes his eyes full of tears and runs to his sister. She passes the bucket off to him and they embrace in a loving hug.
Again to be continued...
The truth of this part of the story is lost bucket. I truely had to go through big waves to find the bucket and even then i missed it because it kept going out to sea. In the end, i over course got it. (with my incrediable strength lol no just kidding) My brother than came up to me with a big smile on my face and our mom said that our grandmother, who passed away a few years earlier, was sending the bucket to us from heaven. Other than that the rest was just good story line.

It's the boy's 6th birthday, on a warm summer day. The girl is playing with her video games as the rest of the family is preparing for the big day. The girl slighty feels that she is being ignored because no one has been paying attention to her, these last few months. For some reason, today she feels like showing how she feels by not helping out as much as she normally would.
Their mother and father are preparing decorations, appitizers, etc for when family members come to celebrate with them. Family should be arrives around 2 o'clock, it is now 12 o'clock. The little boy is so excited and all he keeps doing is talking to his siter about it being his birthday. The boy says "hey, its my birthday today, I'm going to be six today. Right, Sis? I'm really excited its my birthday today. Are you excited?" The sister signs, "yes, I am excited." Their mother calls down the sister to come help out, she says "okay mom" and goes down the stairs from her room. She wants the sister to help make her brothers favorite meals, chicken and french fries, and pasta with tomatoe sause.
As they are cookign the mother can sense that something isn't right with her daughter, she asks "honey is something wrong, your not acting like your normal self." The girls states, "nothing is wrong, why would you say that?" The mother is about to say something, when the doorbell rings. "Its already 2 o'clock, boy does time go fast when setting up for a party."
Later, after all the guests arrive and have settled in, the girl ventures off to her room by herself. She still feels like she is being ignored and all everyones attention is toward her brother, especially from her parents. After beign upstairs for about a half hour, her father goes looking for her figuring he hasn't seen her for a while. When he finds her he asks why she isn't playing with her cousins downstairs. She says "I just was bored of what they were doing and decided to come upstairs." He than asks, "why not play with your brother, it is his birthday you know?" She shouts, "I don't want to!" and signs afterwards. The father is surprised and wonders why she is getting so mad. She stays quiet, almost ignoring him. The father gets mad that she is ignoring him and yells at her. He than leaves, leaving her all alone now, she then starts to cry.
The mother heard the loud voices coming from upstairs and goes into the girls room to see what is wrong. She finds her daugther wipping her eyes and asks, "whats wrong sweety?" The girl finally tells her mother how shes been feeling and the mother gets upset. She had not realized how her daughter was feeling this whole time. She tells her daughter, "mommy and daddy aren't ignoring you, we are just worried about your brother because of his handicap and we want you to know that we love you very much. Without you mommy would be lost, because your like an angel from heaven by taking care of your brother so well." The girls starts to cry again, as tears fall down her cheeks she says, "I didn't know thats how you felt, I'm sorry for being so selfish. Lets go back downstairs to the party."
Now downstairs, the girl goes over to her brother and gives him a big huge and kiss. Their mother watches and smiles, she walks over to their father and explains what happened. The parents now watch their children hugging. The father mouths to her daughter, "I love you." The girl, just smiles at her dad. Then, the girl whispers in her brothers ear, as they hug again, "I'm sorry." He doesn't understand why she says this and questions her. She just smiles and says "Happy Birthday!!! And I love you!"
~to soon continue~
Let me know what you think. This story is related to how I had felt as a kid and how I reacted on one of my brothers birthdays. (when we were even younger than this, because me and my brother are three years apart)

Little Kurayami I loved the story, it's actually rather sad isn't it? hey sooooo...yeah i guess it has sad parts but i didn't intend that actually its just some memories when we were young we kinda sad or envoolved me feeling egocentric (seeing only from my persective) as we were kids. also its because i didn't 100% understand or see any differences between me n my brother so i felt left out if my brother got more attention i'll continue more of the story when i come up with more ideas/memories! thanks for reading!!!!! 4laugh

As fall turns the winter and the snow starts to stick, all the young children think of the goodness of the holiday spirit to occur. They plan their gifts to their loved ones they care for so much and maily think of just giving not recieving.
"Nahhhh just kidding its all about them presents, the more the better..." as the newest version of THE GRINCH states on TV said.
The boy and girl spend quality time during this time of the year to share laughs and joy. Both of them think about Christmas, their families, friends as they watch the snow come down from the clouds. "I can't wait for the holidays to arrive" cheers the girl. She thinks about all the presents she'll be recieving. The boy stares straigth at the snow flakes hitting the window and the streets. He quickly disappears before the girls eyes, by running as fast as he can, to their mother just to ask to play in the snow. The girl sees him getting suited up and signs "I better get my gear on too."
Outside the two chase each other from one block to the next, throwing snowballs at each other. They even try to make walls to block each others attacks, but the girl is too smart she runs at full speed to catch her brother. At the end of their fight they lay on their backs in the snow, making snow angels. Their parents see them laying their, practically out of breath. They suggest them to come inside ,to have some warm drinks, even though its only been 50 minutes.
Days pass and the snow starts to melt. The schools that were once closed, due to the amounts of snow, have finally been cleared and are now open. The boy, however, goes to a different school due to his learning disability, his is known as autism. At the girls schools, she is asked if she still believes in Canta Claus. She expresses a shocked emotion for just a moment and then quickly states, "of coure not." At this time she still believed in him, but she is only disapointed for a short time. At home, she talks to her parents about Santa and her parents tell her "you are right, but you still have to believe in the 'spirit of Santa, okay."
The morning of Christmas arrives and the boy jumps out of bed as soon as he sees light in his room. "Its...its....IT'S CHRISTMAS DAAAYY!!!! The boy runs to his sisters room and wakes her up. "Oh, brother of mine why are you waking me up its only 6o'clock. The birds aren't even awake yet." Moments pass, eveyone is up now and waitin for their father to get the movie camera ready because he always wants to catch out happy moments together. As the children head on into the living room and see all the presents their faces light up in the blink of a eye. As they are opening thier presents, the boy starts counting how many their are, to make sure he gets all the presesnts on his list. He stacks them in order from when he opens them and places them in catagories such as games or movies. The little girl watches her brother as he looks over his gifts and truely understands the meaning of Christmas, at least for her. She realizes that Christmas i not just about the presents its about sharing warm, loving feeling to others. And the most important person, besides her parents, that she wants to share these feelings with...is her one and only brother.

hey sorry I haven't written in a while.. here's more:
~In school (Peter's prosepective)~ "Hey Peter [lifts hand up for highfive]." "Hi John, how are you?" [highfives] "Hi Peter! [waves]" "Hey Jenna." [waves back] "Hi Sam, whats up?" "Not much Peter, how about you?" "I'm good, schools good, and bowling too." "Oh that's good Peter, see ya later."Jillian [walking with Peter in the halls] says, "wow you're like the mayor Peter" ..."mayor? what do you mean Jillian?" "Oh nothing, you just know alot of people at school." "Oh, yeah."
Jillian watches as they walk together that almost everyone knows Peter and says hi to him. Also they seem to watch out for him, knowing he has autism. She thinks, "this is good to know...especailly when i'm not at this school anymore." (she is 3years older) The only thing she worries about is whether or not any of them are his friends. He rarly goes out to others houses, but they all talk to him so friendly here.. "why is it that its like this?" she thinks, knowing how kind hearted her brother is.
Peter, with no knowledge of his sister thinking these things, says goodbyw to Jillian as he goes into his classroom. She paused, still in her thinking zone, and then say "see you later Peter, love you buddy!" and he says, "love you too, Jillain see you." Now, as she walks off to her class she thinks how Peter's the only one that really calls her by her "full name" 24-7. Most people call her "Jill" and occasionlly "Jillian" but not all the time. Because people usually forget and don't think its a "big deal". But, to her it is a big deal because her name, legally, is Jillian not some nickname Jill. So, she admires her brother for ALWAYS remembering this. It maybe due to his autism but deep down she knows its otherwise, its just in his personality.
~Later~ Its free time in class now, so Jillian desides to ask her fellow classmates if anyone knows her brother. Her class full of kids from different ages, so she figures someone knows him. after she asks, most of them say they know him once she says, "..he has autism." When she sees all of them smile and say things like "he's such a good kid," "he always says hi to me in the halls," and "he's the friendliest kid I know" it warms her heart that they see how sweet he is.
~ REALITY: ~ Most of the ideas from this part are true like Peter knowing to say my "full" name correctly and being the "mayor" in school, but they happened at different times. Hope you enjoyed! blaugh 3nodding whee xp

~Days of Hurricane Warnings~
Tuesday: The girl (me) goes out with her boyfriend to the beach with her brother Peter and they are enjoying thier time together swiming in the ocean eatting great food; pizza's the size of their faces etc. Later relaxing and sitting in their chairs, they feel their seats wobbling she jokingly says, "its an earth quake!" the boy shruggs it off saying, "nah its just the wind." Moments pass and the boy's cell phone rings, his mom tell him that their really was an earth quake just seconds ago. When he tells her that Peter say, "that's what she said" pointing at his sister. Everyone laughs, but then seriously gets ready to leave. They get home safely and wait to here other reports about Hurrican Irene.
Thursday: Again another date but this time just the girl and her boyfriend going to a baseball game. As of this pt. the weather is perfectly fine it is warm as anything and the sky is beautiful with the clouds turning orange and pink. The game starts off well with bases being loaded by the home team (which is who we're rooting for) and the visitors not knowing what to do. time goes by the game heading off to be and interesting one with the other team catching up, now its our team thats unsure of what to do. Then out of no where, it starts to pour the boy tries to protect the girl as best as he can but they both ar drenched (the boy being worse of course). The two head for shelter near the concession stands but minutes later the rain stops and the game starts to continue again. The boy grabs as many napkins as he can to dry off the seats and now they get to sit up close and personal. When the game ends, sadly the visitors won, their are fireworks!! A great way to end a date right, the two sat and enjoyed themselves with their front row seats.
Friday, Saturday Evenings, & Sunday morning: Hecked messes people are gettign crazy over the weather reports. Shop & stop, rite aid, walgreens, gas stations etc are packed and getting empty with people buying as much stuff as they possibly can. Sadly though the girl has work on Friday even with the storm approaching but thank God she lives close by, unlike some of her fellow co-workers. the resturan she works at ends up being ok busy but not packed and she doesn't really make much tips (prob cuz people dont want to spend money except on supplies and other nessesities). during all this Peter, her brother, asks "what is a hurricane?" she replies with. "its a big windy rainy storm that can effect the houses well being, or cause the basement to flood." Peter starts to look worried but the girl approaches him to give him a hug telling him everythign will be fine.
The next night, saturday, it starts to get windy and rainy as the hurrican approaches the east coast. Then lightign and thunder strike in various places, power goes out in certain areas while others lights flicker on and off. Every fears for the worst and in our house all hell breakes loose. Our sun pump doesnt work fro like an hr so the backyard is full of water. The men of the house and my mom go out to fix it plugging in other pumps and trying to get water our of our pool; for it will seep more water onto the grass that will eventually head into our basement. Me on basment duty checking is water seeps in, we only get some drops from the ceiling and some a puddle near our steps so all is good. The power lasts the whole night, except for some flickering here and there due to strong winds. Peter, is calm listening to his music and drawing on paper. This is good because if he knew how bad it really wa it couldve gone worse. That night the sibling sleep together and sleep as far away from ends of the house where tall trees lurk. at first it is hard for them to ssleep but eventually they get so tired that they just pass out.
In the morning, now Sunday, everyone is okay the rain has stopped and its time for the pumps to have a break. All last night their father was working outside protectign their house from a waterfall happening in the basement. Thank goodness though the rain stopped just for him to get some hrs of sleep and for there to be no excessive water to be in the basement. also it is good that the weather has gone down for thier house is as good as it could be with power and plenty of extra food. Peter wakes up and asks his sister if everything is ok and if she sleep good. she tells him she is good and that the house is fine too and they all try to enjoy the rest of their day and embrase in a long warm huge. At this point the family is contactign relatives (for pretty much everyone lives on east coast). Everyone seems fine with some little damage, trees falling or some power outs. but, other then that everyone is good and has plenty of food and water. Now it is time to relax knowing the worst has come.
Well thats a summary of this week and last night. I will try to post more stories of this summer asap, but i thought it would b best to start with rthis as of now. PLEASE COMMENT and ENJOY!!! blaugh
