I saw this, and was enlightened.
And this is coming from a guy who greatly enjoyed Days of Ruin.
EDIT: For the record, I do enjoy the Advance Wars series. I got started with 2, and played it for ages. Then I picked up Dual Strike, wasn't crazy about it really. Then I got Days of Ruin and remembered why I fell in love with Intelligent Systems to begin with. (Did I mention I'm also a Fire Emblem fan?)
So in short, yeah it's a pic, but it makes me want to see who else is here who's into the series. It's a really good turn-based strategy series. If you have GBA/DS but not the series, try picking up either Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising or Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. They're different in some ways, but both are really enjoyable. Myself, I'm more partial to Days of Ruin--characters are much more rounded-out, a storyline exists, AI is smart but not all-knowing, and COs aren't as all-powerful as they are in the rest of the series. (COs are still potential game-changers, but you have to be smart about how you use them this time.)
