I never really viewed the games as a timeline... More so as the same story told over and over again with differing variations (Save for a few like Majora's Mask or Wind Waker. Those can fit into a timeline.).

@Sora You'd be surprised by howw much there really is a time line. Have a look at this video: zelda (a bit old) timeline

@Torako Twili is after ocarina of time/Majora's mask, In it you can find an easter egg of the seven sages as windows, you can see more into it in that video.

Well that is pretty hard to explain (not having fully played the game mostly just watching it) At a certain point in the history of the land of Hyrule, a war broke out across the land when a group of shadowy magicians known as the Dark Interlopers learned of the mythical Triforce located within the Sacred Realm and attempted to establish dominion over it to harness the Triforce's power. To this end, the Interlopers crafted an ultimate weapon, the dark relic known as the Fused Shadow, inside which they had vested a vast amount of their magic.

When the Interlopers seemed on the verge of victory in this effort, the Golden Goddesses decided to order the Light Spirits of Hyrule to intervene and seal away the dark magic of the Interlopers to halt the war. The Light Spirits, at the order of the goddesses, shattered the Fused Shadow into four fragments (hiding three of them across Hyrule and leaving the fourth in the hands of the Interlopers) and drove the Interlopers across the land of Hyrule into the twilight. They were then imprisoned within the Twilight Realm, a prison world meant to hold those who displease the goddesses, and lost their ruler as punishment for their greedy actions that sparked the war. In other words, made by the goddesses.

(By the way, when will your role-play be done? I'll be your first member ^^)

I believe the Gerudo from OoT to be the ancestors of the Twili. The latter race taking place many many years later. If you noticed, both races sport red hair as well as warm colored eyes. To explain the skin color, as generations go by , their skin becomes white so they would be able to absorb the little light they had in the Twilight Realm. Also if they are the descendants of the Gerudo, this would explain how Zant is the only confirmed Twili male. I'd liked to point out there might have been two kinds of Gerudo: the witches and the regular soldiers. The witches i believe to be the interlopers since they're capable of some hefty magic and the ability to banish people into other dimensions with the use of portals.

Oooh nice theory. never thought of that.

The Gerudo? How are they connected? The only female one we saw that actually had hair was Midna... The ones you freed outside of the castle were most definitely male as they did not wear shirts... And I seriously hope Nintendo didn't expose anything there if you're claiming they are female. -Shudders- For all we know, it's opposite; Midna could be the only female. And their skin is not white, but a mixture of pure black and lightish, dimmed blue. Aka, darker than Link's skin.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see how exactly they could be Gerudo... =/

And if they were Gerudo, then why would Telma resemble a Gerudo? (It's part of an easter egg in the game, you need to pay close attention to the hidden races/similarities)

Well in TP, it said that the interlopers attempted hold dominion over the sacred realm to gain control of the triforce. In OoT, the Gerudo attempted to take over Hyrule to also gain control of triforce. I think the story about the interlopers is the attempted take over by the Gerudo in OoT. Now when Link goes back in time ,after defeating Ganondorf in the future, he tells the Royal Family about Ganondorf and his intentions. The Royal Family then capture and imprison the Gerudo in their fortress and temple. What remains of this is the Arbiter's Grounds in TP. However not all Gerudo followed the interlopers, for example Nabooru. I believe Nabooru and the few Gerudo that followed her weren't prosecuted and imprisoned since they did not follow Ganondorf thus keeping the Gerudo bloodline alive in Hyrule.

I did not claim that the Twili were female. I said Zant was the only confirmed male. This is the same with the Zoras. There is no way establish their sex due to their appearance besides what is confirmed: the king, queen and the prince.

And also Midna said that her tribe were descended from thieves. Gerudo are thieves.

If you think different Sora, where do you think the Twili came from.

I didn't say I had a theory, I just said that I didn't think they were Gerudo...

There are a million and one different theories on how the Twili came to be.
For example, there are people who believe the Shiekah didn't "die off" but instead were banished and became the Twili. Remember their symbol? The tear in the eye was added after a betrayal occurred. Many people think that it's somehow linked to the Twili, and it is in fact possible. (This is just an abridged version. There are countless better explanations, so if you're interested, search for the theory. It shouldn't be difficult to find. In fact, you could probably find a ton of different theories about them. They didn't even have to be a race we knew about either, they could just have been Dark Interpols.)

And confirmed male? The chibbi Twili you free have their shirts off. If they were female, they would be censored, ergo, there are more males. (That's simple property of censorship in a video game. That cannot be simply ignored.) So that in it of itself, I just don't see the possibility of Gerudo lineage...

But (not that I agree completely with his theory) when you think about it they may have changed in more ways than one like being a different being nintendo might have found no need to cover them up completely just like the gorons and the zora.
